Ah, this is very similar to how I lay out my Paper Mario sprites. Then again, this a common sort of thing for Flash puppets and even the original Paper Mario sprites pulled that off.

If you're using puppet rigs for sprite animation, you're doing it wrong.

While I can see why they'll look a bit tacky, it's not like Flash Puppets in sprite animations are a major taboo (especially if they are used by a very skilled animator). |
