Anyone noticed that we haven't had a ROM hack on the site for a while? The last one was Mors's SM64 improvement hack.

I'd like to point out that not every level is necessary to beat -- you just have to get the key from each world, where they're guarded by some levels but not all of them. You don't even need to beat all the levels required, as there are clouds you can use on the world map to skip a level. You can get these clouds from Toad Houses and maybe Bro battles. Keep in mind that I never used these cloud items in the game, but I used them in SMB3, so I assume they work the same way here.

Also, did you really play the latest version? If you downloaded the game before December 17, maybe you should go download it again, as the game was updated to fix some issues around that time, and see how it does. Just want to make sure.

I must've missed the whole "you don't need to play all the levels to progress" thing due to the difficulty. And yes, I did play the latest version.

So, does that mean that joke games which are like Mario 64: Really Good Edition will no longer be accepted?

Just to ease anyone's suspicions, no, it is not a April Fools demo. It's the real deal.

You've actually made this look more charming than the original. Nice!

Was this inspired by the Super Show? It looks great by the way.

I'm now happy that this game finally got the review it deserved.

I think if you play the recent feedback demo on the forums you'll have a better time with it, as the art, controls, and level design (thanks to Langton for his help with those) are a whole lot better, and a whole lot of bugs have been removed.

The Mario sprite reminds me of Sr. Pelo.

It's actually from TerminalMontage's videos, not Sr. Pelo.

oh and the game will be receiving an update with more stuff from the real flashback, as well as more memes so be on a look out for that

I recently updated the game to fix the memory leak issues (hopefully)

Well it kinda didn't work as it still happened to me, in the same level Q-Nova was playing in fact.

Some of the sheet does look kinda strange, like the Big Boo on the right having rather unnatural lines. But other than that it's okay.

I tried to post a fixed version of my entry to Morgario's joke game contest, but I couldn't post it on the main site due to file size issues, so here's a thread for it instead: https://forums.mfgg.net/thread-2009.html

Honestly, the physics and controls are terrible. Mario keeps falling through blocks, doesnt want to sprint, keeps sliding everywhere. The graphics are cool tho.

Keep in mind, this is a very old demo, so the newer one will fix these mistakes.

Though, I don't get the comments like "Mario keeps falling through blocks, doesn't want to sprint, keeps sliding everywhere."

1. Where exactly is Mario falling through blocks?

2. Are you holding the run button long enough for the P-Meter to max out?

3. I don't understand the sliding everywhere one. Could you please elaborate on that?
