Pros | + Good story + Good music + Decent graphics |
Cons | - Pretty flat level design |
Gameplay 6 / 10 |
If you've ever played a Ralorche game, take a wild guess what the engine used is. C'mon, guess. Default Clickteam? Yes sirree bob. It does its job well enough for the most part, but there are a few places where getting stuck on the scenery gets a bit annoying. The level design is mostly some flat areas where you jump over enemies and pits, with a few stuff-collecting and boss-beating levels thrown in. There are also some levels where you need to avoid Waluigi.exe, but you literally just jump over him at the beginning of the level and that's it. The storyline is pretty good. I don't think it parodies the .exe "genre" enough, but it's got enough other humor to still make the whole thing work. |
Graphics 7 / 10 |
The backgrounds and foregrounds are generally pretty dece. Some of them are kinda bad or weirdly placed, but others are quite beautiful and/or trippy, so it balances out. The WL4-style Waluigi sprites are great, and the "other" Waluigi sprites are also great, but for an entirely different reason. They kinda remind me of those "sprudurmen" memes. |
Sound 8 / 10 |
The music selection is mostly solid, and hearing some classic tunes in mediocre midi form is always funny. The sound effects are sound effecty, and the random references to Bri'ish pop culture are still very wacky. |

It's not going to spook your socks off, but then again, is any .exe game? |
