General Commentary and Game Overview
Wow. It's been six months since I've ever done an MFGG review.... and ironically enough, it was on a Mario breakout game. However, unlike that game, Mario Breakout Deluxe is made by somebody who is experienced with Game Maker, and has done unique entries to the site beforehand (See Luigi and the Quest for Nothing).

Somehow, unlike Quest for Nothing, Breakout Deluxe actually felt even better to play than when I first played the demo. There's a reasonable amount of effort incorporated into the game, and it shows. Fine-tuning is still an issue, as there are parts that didn't get that so much (Frickin' Bullet Bills), but the overall game is still kinda above average.

Pros -Unique in a way
-A solid effort for the most part
-Saving
-Music

Cons -Control can still be taken away from the player
-Graphics
-Those frickin' Bullet Bills

Impressions
Gameplay
7 / 10
As can be told by the title, this is Breakout with a Mario makeover. However, as the ball has to strike as many coins as necessary, you also need to have patience when the game restricts you. You can't move throughout the entire screen, and there are instances where the ball would refuse to come down to the player's grasp. Also....THOSE FRICKIN' RED BULLET BILLS. They are the bane of my existence thanks to their ability to destroy the ball. And there's nothing you can do about it.

Despite all this, though, the game is actually very fair for the most part, and collecting coins with the ball is very rewarding and fun.

Graphics
5 / 10
Ho-hum Mario graphics.

Sound
9 / 10
While the sound effects are your ho-hum Mario sound effects, the music is unlike anything else MFGG's gotten, and it's pretty catchy stuff! In fact, I think I'll put one of these music files into my mp3 player...

Replay
7 / 10
The gameplay can be addictive, but sometimes the more boring parts of the game can affect whether or not I'd want to come back to it.

Final Words
7 / 10
This really is a good effort at making a Breakout game that isn't boring, but there are some levels that do keep the ball at hold at times. If you had greater control over what happens, the score would automatically rise higher.

Very nice review :)
Also the soundtrack is from the game M&M's The Lost Formulas (as you may know I am the obscure-game-guy xD)
I posted the full OST of it on my youtube
