A remixed version of the original Mario bros. This demo contains the first 10 phases in world 1. You play by defeating all the enemies that come from the pipes then hitting a switch that appears to progress to the next phase. There is also bonus phases, items, and bosses to fight. The final version will have a story and a multiplayer mode(obviously) as well.
controls:
up-jump
left/right-move
down-crouch
down+up-highjump(learn this)

That was surprisingly good. Kudos for adding tons of well working extra features to such repeating arcade game.

I might review this when I get the mood.

looked good just take out the automatic Joypad my keyboard gets messed up when i sets to Joypad

I don't want to add a lot of mp3 music because they take up a lot of space and this game is already 8.01MB. As for the difficulty I think that stems mainly from the small area layout and I'll try and fix that.

8 Megabytes? What the hell are you using in this game?

Not even with GM7 should it get that high unless you have about 400 objects with giant rooms!

Also unexpected error occured when running game.

The message, "unexpected error occured when running game." seems to happen randomly on my computer and when it does, I can't get any GM game to work, but after it "gets over it" they work again. weird.

I made all the sprites in the game except goombas,spinys, and sidesteppeers which were ripped but I still edited. I don't know what the error is about, I use XP on my PC and everything works.

I'll download the full version when/if it comes. meanwhile, 8MB is too much for a mere demo.

Make sure every sprite and object, sound, background and room have different names or you can get unexpected errors go to scripts in gamemaker and click check resource names to see names being invalid or used twice and change them until the list is empty, then the unexpected error will be gone

Also 8mb is kinda large for a demo

I like this game,but when you fight bowser,he is too ramdom.And also,make bowser your last boss and make the bosses the koopalings.If you do,use Ragey's Iggy,Larry,Roy,Lemmy,Ludwig,and Wendy sprites and Raccoon Sam's Morton Jr. sprites

Sorry, Bowser is not the final boss, the final boss, has something to do with the planetoid with the pipe on it in the sky. I might put the Koopalings in though.

I'm not revealing the story line yet. Also don't bother reporting glitches for this demo because I completely replaced the engine for it so that it takes up less space and to make more playable characters.

You should make it so when you press F4 it runs in full-screen, because on a 1280 X 1024 resolution the game window looks extremely small.

The new version lets you full size with F4, the controls are less slippery, and there are 4 control setups with 5 characters to play. The download size will be smaller once I submit the next demo too. In the mean time here's a couple new screen shots.

Wow, this is pretty good!

Yes, that's all I can say. And for the people who can't beat bowser stay on the bottom platform and wait till he goes in his shell, then hit one of the POW blocks.

When the last enemy turns blue when its going into a pipe, it gets stuck.
