Pros | + Decent gameplay + Good music |
Cons | - Annoying bosses |
Gameplay 6 / 10 |
The engine used is good enough. It's not gonna blow your mind, but it doesn't have to. There are a few neat gimmicks here and there (for example, Boos and quite possibly the only 'actual' Angry Sun I've seen in a fan game). The level designs range from 'decent' to 'ehhh'. None of them are truly excellent or completely awful. However, what really grinds my jimmies and rustles my gears are the bosses. They might, technically speaking, have attack patterns, but fighting all of them feels like playing a slot machine at the best of times. Luckily, Mario has 10 HP so they're ultimately pretty easy to beat, but the fact that almost no boss attack has a 'tell' is pretty annoying. Also, I have to mention that one of the bosses is quite possibly the most eye-searing thing I have ever seen in a fan game. Just a complete visual nightmare. Also also, the map is horrible. |
Graphics 7 / 10 |
The graphics are mostly decent, though there are a few that feel a bit out of place here and there. |
Sound 8 / 10 |
The soundtrack is solid (props for using Arcana music), and the sound effects are decent if a bit loud sometimes. Also, the final level music is really good, but I don't want to spoil what it is. |

Decent platformer plagued by indecent bosses. |
