Pros | + The music's alright, even if unfitting + Some of the graphics aren't horrible |
Cons | - It's just not very fun to play - There are plenty of bugs and glitches - IYAH |
Gameplay 3 / 10 |
The engine used is the default Clickteam platform movement, though it doesn't feel as bad and clunky here as it does in most other games. However, the reason WHY it doesn't feel as bad is because the one level in the demo is basically just a flat plane with a few boxes scattered here and there, so there aren't exactly many places to get stuck in. There are also plenty of bugs. Boos sometimes follow you when you don't look at them and sometimes when you DO, some boxes and blocks don't have any collision, you don't actually die when your health reaches 0 etc. etc. etc. What little of the story the submission page has seems intriguing, so it's a shame that none of it ever made it into the game. |
Graphics 7 / 10 |
Some of the graphics are decent, some are pretty bleh, and why on Earth is there a graveyard INSIDE a mansion??? |
Sound 6 / 10 |
The couple music tracks used aren't bad, but Popple's theme isn't exactly a very suitable level theme. Mario going "IYAH" every time you jump gets annoying pretty quickly. |

It's not the worst thing ever, but it doesn't really have anything going for it either. |
