Pros | + Solid level design + Decent music + Feels like you're in a Windows |
Cons | - The engine makes playing the game quite difficult sometimes |
Gameplay 6 / 10 |
The engine used is the default Clickteam platform movement, which obviously causes plenty of consternation (you get stuck on everything all the time, fer instance), but supertoad2k DID manage to program in some of Wario's moves (namely, shoulder bashing and ground-pounding) so it's not all bad (though the moves do often cause you to clip through walls and floors). The level design is, for the most part, pretty good. The open-ended, almost "mission-based" structure of the Vs. Windows series is something I wish more fangames had imitated. There's Bald Luigi's Crustmust, at least. The bosses range from "mehhh" to "actually pretty interesting." The final boss, especially, is quite neat (even if clearly not designed to be perfectly balanced). The story, what little there is of it, is alright. You probably won't need to guess very many times who the final boss is. |
Graphics 8 / 10 |
The graphics are mostly solid. There's some obvious JPEG artifacting on some of them, and a few graphics are obnoxiously flashy, but for the most part, it truly feels like you're inside a PC. |
Sound 7 / 10 |
The music is mostly pretty good. The sound effects, however, vary from "good" to "were Wario's voice lines recorded in a tin can?". |

It's a real blast from the past with all the cruft included. Play and enjoy at your own risk. |
