preview
By: grizzledwarveteran23
The Mario Bros. receive a letter from their so-called "third brother". It leads them to a mysterious new villain with ulterior motives. Equipped with a gun, what awaits Mario in his new adventure?

In this game, you will need to utilize the gun both as a weapon and a method of movement. The recoil force propels Mario in various directions, as well as taking out enemies.

CONTROLS (Cannot change as of now):
Move - A & D/Left & Right Arrows
Sprint - Hold Shift
Jump - Spacebar
Shoot - O / Left Mouse Button
Aiming - WASD/Arrows for the four directions
Pause - Escape
Cutscene - Enter to continue through dialogue

THINGS TO REMEMBER:
You can shoot in the air. You have infinite shots on ground,
but you can only shoot twice in the air. This is indicated
as you darken a bit until you touch the ground again. (Think
of it similar to smash bros double jumping/Up special)

CREDITS: This game was independently developed, however there is some art/music credits due you can see in the folder. If there's belonging to you but wasn't featured in the credits, notify me and I will verify.

Neat! My DooM Mario sprite was used in a fangame!

My only problem is that the physics with recoil jumping gets annoying.

Oh wow, didn't expect to enjoy this! This is quite a decent fangame and seems like what you get when you mix up the way fangames used to be in the early years, with some modern touches. I do have some gripes, namely, I feel the part where you recoil up for the first time ever feels a bit weird and trial-and-error-y. I enjoy the mechanic though, although I do think using the gun on the ground with that long windup takes some time getting used to. The art, I mean, that's what accentuates the 'old fangame' part, and I actually kinda like JB's design and may do some fanart. Not much to say about the sound design.
Keep up the great work dude, and I like to see the full game come to fruition.

Great to hear the feedback. And if you do make some fanart, I'd be glad to see it!
