Pros | + Spike's there. That's neat + It's not the worst Mario Gun Game out there |
Cons | - It's got a ton of problems, though - The music is the most boring, predictable, trite slop you've ever heard |
Gameplay 4 / 10 |
Mario is a bit slippery, the button placement is very awkward, the levels are mostly boring and flat, the boss fight seems impossible to beat without dying several times, most enemies can be skipped by just jumping over them, the shooting feels decent but the lack of manual reloading or any animation for it ruins the feel, grenades seem to be almost entirely useless etc. etc. etc. Basically, it's an almost-decent Mario With A Gun game that's ruined by a metric ton of annoyances. |
Graphics 7 / 10 |
They're mostly consistent, but some of them feel a bit less polished (like Mario's sprites). There are also a lot of oddities, like Spike's battle arena lacking a floor for some reason. |
Sound 5 / 10 |
If the dictionary had an entry for 'most generic Mario fan game music imaginable' (and the ability to play sound), this game's soundtrack is what you would hear. The sound effects aren't anything to write home about either. |

It's not the worst game about Mario having a gun, but it's still only a naff little semi-tech-demo-thing. |
