LOL, that seems to be the answer for everything! "Did you try turning it off and back on again?" Classic. Alright, I'll give it a shot at some point; probably tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

Was this game built on a 64-bit system? Perhaps with Windows 7 or 8? That might be the reason it's not working for me.

Try to run the game with Admin rights.
Else change the combatiblemode of this game to windows XP

What's your operating system Somari64? If it's Windows 8, compatibility issues can arise.

The error happens while the game is loading, so it can't be the Windows 8 sound bug. Also the game runs on Windows 8 very well. Redownloading will solve this problem. If it won't, try to download it on another computer or temporarily disable your anti-virus.

I have Windows Vista. And I know what you're probably thinking; "VISTA!? Poor guy!" But, to be honest, I'm actually very satisfied with this. I have little to no problems with the operating system itself, and any problems I do have are easily fixable.

So, basically, I have an OS that's older than 7. Which means it most likely won't be able to work because the computer used to build the game is more advanced. I'm assuming your Windows 7 is 64-bit, yes?

The operating system you use just doesn't matter. It can be run on a 32-bit Windows XP too.
I don't understand why people just ignore me when I try to help.

I downloaded Cap'n Coconut's game, "The Bootleg Invasion", which was built on a 64-bit system, and it wouldn't run on my computer. He sent me a 32-bit version, and it ran perfectly. So obviously the OS matters somewhat.

Really? It's made with GM:S and you can't create 64 bit executables with GM:S. And the error you get has nothing to do with 32-bit or 64-bit since you can see an error message from the game itself. Also did you redownload it?

How are you supposed to complete the treetop cloud level? Do you really have to time it just right to jump on the goombas?

You don't need to jump on them, you can kill them with the aura attack or you can avoid them.

I know, but I'm asking if the only way to get up on that cloud platform is to jump on the goombas.

You should try duck-jumping. The game teaches you this in the first level. You should remember this, as it's extremely important throughout the game.

Okay, I don't care how long it's been since someone last commented here, I want to get this out there right now. Apparently, a lot of people can't get this game to work, so they go to contact me for help rather than a computer expert. And all of these people who contact me never even message me back to acknowledge that I tried to help them. So I guess I'll just post my strategy here. Just try re-downloading the game. And if that doesn't work, try contacting someone who knows more about this kind of thing, because, in all honesty, I'm not a computer genius. I know quite a few things about computers, but not everything.

This game makes several references to Mega Man, the bithoppers make Mega man's jumping sound from Mega Man 1 and 2 and the MechaShroom is a palette swap of Gamma from Mega Man 3 only with Peach driving it instead of Dr Wily. Also can you replace the Thunder Dragon statue with a Shigeru Miyamoto statue please? I'm getting really tired of people treating Thunder Dragon like he's a member of nintendo and he's getting pseudo respect you think he's a rockstar even though he isn't so STOP IT PLZ!!
