NovemberJoy | Although it's good for a short minigame with such little development time, it'll get old pretty quickly. | 6 / 10 |
Mechant | Not that bad for a minigame, if you're bored you should give it a go. | 6 / 10 |
Fender | A unique game, could be very good with some work! | 5 / 10 |

Well made, but sprites are bad.

Needs checkpoints because when you die you restart the whole level.

This game idea is so cool. Edit: Sprites look good to me at least - maybe the NES zapper can benefit from more colors - but y'know, retro. Haha, I liked playing this one! It's pretty original. And props for the FF music, suits my taste perfectly. The bullet control is a bit difficult but I can live with that, I learned it quickly anyway. |

What the heck? Strange concept, but since it's under 2 MB I'll download it without even waiting for other people's reviews. (I have dial-up, so I only download larger files if I have some assurance of quality in the form of reviews or large numbers of positive commments.) EDIT: Eh... download failed. I'll try again tommorrow if I remember. "Error reading the file". GAAH! Why won't it extract?! :( |

Eh... Didn't enjoy it. Sidescrolling platforming rail shooters are not a good idea. I'm not a fan of on-rails games to start with, I prefer more control. Not going to officially review it because I didn't get very far, but informally I'll give it a 4.

I noticed that almost every game you make has a simple and funny storyline to it, and I'm not saying your games are bad (because usually their kind of good), but it gets a little boring after a while, seeing another game made by Vinny Video that doesn't have a serious storyline...

I do this because too many games on MFGG have serious storylines, and considering these are amateur-made parodies/tributes to a game series that is already light-hearted (and sometimes downright absurd), it's difficult to make a really serious Mario game. Aftermath is one of the very few fangames that successfully pulls off a serious story. That said, it's kind of nice that I've made enough games by now that people are starting to notice a pattern to them. My next game, Revenge of the Walrus, is still silly, but I'll probably add a few subtly darker overtones to the story and make the story a bigger part of the game. And if I make another minigame soon, I'll consider a darker storyline. |

I just uploaded a new version that should be compatible with Windows 8. I can't make any guarantees, though, so if it crashes, please let me know when and where the crash happens. Since it's a very old game, I didn't exactly devote great attention to improving the graphical iffiness. |
