It's a pretty good crossover of the Mario and Bomberman games. However, I don't know if it's just me being impatient, but the gameplay is UNBELIEVABLY slow, and if you screw up, you have to start all over again. I quit before I even finished the first level... >_< Maybe it's just that I don't play Bomberman too much and I'm not used to moving so slow, But I don't know, that's just something you have to work on. And yes, I know that there are powerups to increase your speed later on in the game, but still, it's goddamn SLOW, man. This is still pretty cool though, I'm pretty sure this is the first Bomberman-related game on MFGG, and the title is pretty clever if I do say so myself. |

I don't know why, but suddenly, when I placed a bob-omb it was red immidiatly and didn't explode.

Quote (Compor on May 26 2011, 4:50 PM) I don't know why, but suddenly, when I placed a bob-omb it was red immidiatly and didn't explode. That would be the "Remote Bob-omb". You collected the Red Remote power-up. The Remote Bob-omb is set off by pressing the B-Key. |

It gets boring fast because you move so slowly. But it's a good idea. |

Quote (Wiiboy4ever on Jun 2 2011, 1:46 AM) Yeah, I gave up the first few seconds because Mario moves way too slow. Yes, Mario moves very slowwww.... Apparently, this problem is actually a little more dramatic than I thought. But there actually is a reason for that. The code used for Mario makes it so that he stops moving and animating when he snaps to a 16x16 block on the imaginary grid... He currently starts moving at a speed of 1 (1 pixel per step). Originally, this was a 2. But when I tried increasing it to 3 with the Mushroom power-up, he did not snap on the grid because 3 does not go into 16. I fixed this by turning the speed of 3 into a 3.2 (3.2 times 5 is 16), but could not fix this with 5, 6, or 7 because Game Maker only goes so far to the right of the decimals. I didn't want to have the power-ups make him start at 2, move to 3.2, then 4, and then suddenly appear at 8 next time you get one, and I didn't want range and placement power-ups to have eight collectable until full, and then speed having only two, so I start him at a speed of 1. If you take the time to collect a Mushroom in the game, your speed doesn't stay low for long at all. I just had to make each number divisible by 16... otherwise, this wouldn't be a problem. and I would start at 2 or 3, then go up to probably 8 from there. I WOULD increase the room speed from 30, but a Mario at a speed of 4, is pretty fast to control at a room speed of 45... If there are any other suggestions, maybe how to fix the speed problem, Bob-omberman's full version is still in the works. Better than Mallow Maze, though, you gotta admit. ;) |

Wow, looks like you're in a bit of a fix here. =SThe code used for Mario makes it so that he stops moving and animating when he snaps to a 16x16 block on the imaginary grid... (Yeah, the only thing I can think of would be to disable the snapping, but I suppose that would defeat the purpose of the game v_v) |

Normal mode is so dreadfully slow. This game is kind of boring due to being unable to continue from different levels and it not saving your score to a score board. Other than that, great job. |

I used to play this game and I also moved very slow too. I think that's the speed of Bomberman in the original game.
