General Commentary and Game Overview
After all of those defeats, Bowser decided to unleash his minions for an attack. Oh wait, there is no story. So, I guess we'll never know why is Mario going out for an adventure. I don't even see Bowser in sight, despite the name.

Well, it reminds me of those early 2000s fangames. But that's because the author wants to do something simple...

Is it a good simple game? Let's review, shall we?

Pros +Reminds me of the early 2000s fangames

Cons -A few bugs
-Almost no variety
-Graphics clash

Gameplay
1 / 10
The gameplay is simple, you can run around and jump. Mario could have been smoother, because if you turn while walking, the turn is just sudden and he doesn't even bother to skid. Anyway, your goal is to reach the last pipe in the level, which could be mistaken for a regular pipe at first. It's a bad thing, because you can't enter any other pipe. I suggest that the goal pipe should be something else, like perhaps a gate or a roulette machine would do good.

By the way, there is enemies! Oh no, they are sent from Bowser so they can destroy you! Afraid? Don't worry, you can shoot fireballs (just like in MarioQuest) that can defeat them in one hit. However, Mario will sometimes refuse to shoot a fireball. I guess Mario's hands are probably sometimes too hot for him to shoot fireballs, as fireballs are hot, right? Now let's get back at the enemies, shall we? So, I just noticed that there is ONLY two enemies that are not bosses. Those are Goombas and Cheep-Cheeps. Bowser must be really low on minions, because all of his other ones have been killed by Mario's deadly shoes and his powerups. Man, that makes me feel bad for those minions.

Now, let's take a look at bosses. There is only two of them, and both of them bounce around and attack Mario on contact. They take damage from Mario's fireballs, which is kinda obvious. These bosses could have been more thought out, because they are sort of generic. The first one is a giant Mario, and the second one is a giant Cheep-Cheep. Yes, those are some generic bosses.

There is coins and ? Blocks, which are worthless. They are worthless, because they do nothing but add to your coin count. The coin count even resets if you start a level, so you should fix that bug.

Before I move on to the graphics, I'll talk about the health system. The system is a circle that has eight pieces, and a piece is lost if you get hit. You'll have start over at the beginning of a level once you lose all of your health pieces, or fall into a pitfall. Eight pieces seems to be a bit too much for me, so I think you should decrease it to probably six.

Graphics
1 / 10
Meh, the graphics aren't that appealing to me. The title logo is ugly, as each part of the logo clashes with another part. The backgrounds are very simple, as they are either one color or a gradient. Okay, I'll look at the ingame graphics now.

Whoa, I noticed that some of them are those overused SMW graphics. The Mario is recolored, but it doesn't help that much. The straight pipes clash with the diagonal pipes, because they are in a different perspective. Straight pipes look 3D, while the diagonal pipes look 2D, and that's why they clash.

Some sprites are resized, and they look pixelated. The pixelated resizes I can see, are some pipes, the Mario in the title screen, the splash logo, and the bosses. There are rarely any effects here, the only ones I can see here are for stomping and coin collecting.

One more thing, the health display in the HUD clashes with everything else.

Sound
1 / 10
Most of the music are from SMAS, which is nothing special. However, one music track appears to be remixed, but like the other tracks, it's nothing special.

There isn't a lot of sound effects here. There is sounds for stomping, fireball thrown, coin collected, and taking damage. But some could use some sound effects. An example is when Mario loses all of his health, which makes no sound at all.

Replay
1 / 10
Replay value, you said?! Gosh, are you trying to make me laugh? There is NO replay value to be found here! There is no bonus content, no highscores, no alternate endings, there is just nothing that would make this game worth playing again. I am sorry RoboticRetard, but the only thing to do with this game, after you beat it, is to send it to the Recycle Bin.

Final Words
1 / 10
It feels like an early 2000s fangame, but I have seen better.

Sorry for the game

Oh, that's okay. I kinda find it okay for a first platformer, it just needs a massive amount of improvement. Keep trying, and I think you'll be able to make a decent game! ;)
