User Icon		 ... it means six more weeks of winter? I know it's not February, but I never understood that reasoning, since it would be sunny out, and therefore the weather would be getting better... right? At any rate he must not have seen it this year considering summer has already hit the area I live in.

And how does Groundhog Day work in the southern hemisphere? Does it mean six more weeks of summer instead? Do groundhogs even live in the southern hemisphere? Or maybe it's like tornadoes spinning the other direction, so seeing his shadow means autumn comes early... Ponder all that as you check out this week's update.

User Icon		 MFGG's mainsite has been running for quite a long while, and over the years we've accumulated a fairly lengthy list of banned/muted members, especially around 2007 and 2008. The vast majority of these members were suspended for clear-cut violations of the rules. However, a lot of people were banned for milder offenses like brief spamming, and even the more flagrant offenders have probably matured in the past few years.

For that reason, I'm offering a chance for banned members to get one banned/muted account reinstated, as long as you were banned/muted two or more years ago. Simply send me a PM or an e-mail requesting your account to be restored, and I'll put you back in the regular "Members" group as long as you seem capable of intelligent, polite communication (hint: brownies also help).

Also, don't forget to eat five servings of fruits and vegetables every day.

After bribing Vinny for long enough he eventually gave in and let me have this position, so yeah. I'm just kidding, of course. Since I have lots of free time, I'll be able to help out in the queue a lot. Everything that doesn't meet my quality standards will be declined, so only the really good stuff will be left. User Icon		 Here's a "real" update, even if it might not be as much fun as Fake Super Mario Territory and Recolored Christina's World.

A friendly reminder for all: In the past week, we've had a number of people submitting negative reviews to MFGG. By negative I don't mean negative in tone (although everyone could use an occasional reminder to keep their critique helpful and constructive in nature); rather, I mean negative in terms of negative integers. By abusing the submission system, it's possible to submit a review with scores lower than 1/10 or higher than 10/10. Several different people did exactly that. This kind of shenanigan is fun for a time, but I think it's about time to put a stop to this. With April Fools over and gone, don't submit manipulated reviews, as the Site Staff will change them back to normal, and besides that, a future mainsite upgrade will likely fix this bug (or even dispense with the current 1-10 ratings system altogether).

And now that that's over with, I return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
