General Commentary and Game Overview
I have to admit, I was quite tempted to write a review with descriptiveness and helpfulness approximately equal to this game's depth of gameplay. Although it would deserve such poetic justice, I cannot simply just abandon standards for good and useful reviews. After all, how pitiful would I be if I only wrote two short sentences per category at most?

Anyway, Super Mario Smackdown! is a fighting game demo, and quite possibly the most incomplete fighting game demo that was ever accepted to MFGG. Shrooman's own description should be enough reason on its own to steer clear of this game.

Pros + At least it doesn't take up much space...

Cons - This is literally a tech demo, being quite possibly the most shallow fighting game you'll ever find on MFGG.
- Graphics are quite minimal.
- There are no sound effects in this game.

FoxGuy commented on this game, calling it "REAL BASIC." I strongly disagree with this point of view, as this game is not even remotely close to the level of merely "basic." It is a skeleton--no, nothing more than a mere femur bone pretending to be a complete enough game for quality control to accept it. The most tragic part of this pretense is that it was successful.

What were the submission rules back in 2009? Were they like the ones we have now? Was it expected for demos (like this game) to have at least one full level? This fighting game demo has no levels and two whopping fighting moves. WHOOPIE!

Okay, let's get back on track here. It's a fighting tech demo, pitting Mario against Luigi (how original!), with two fighting moves. One does 4 HP damage and the other does 8. There is no strategy to speak of. When a brother is knocked off of the platform or has his health reduced to zero, you are informed that "Mario/Luigi wins!!!" and the game restarts.

Now, I have a philosophical question for you: in a scenario where Mario and Luigi turn on each other, can we truly say there is a winner? When once beloved siblings inexplicably turn violent, beating the other to death, can there truly be victory? One man loses his brother; the other man loses his life. The only winning move is not to play.

The game is meant to be played by two players. Please be courteous of others: refrain from forcing them to play this game when you two can play a fighting game that is actually worth thirty seconds of your time.

Graphics

Let's see: the arena's background is a solid color and there's no HUD in sight! Character health is stored in the window caption, which is quite an amateur design choice. What if someone wanted to play the game full screen? Oh wait, they can't--not that they actually would want full screen, because the game doesn't have enough content to warrant it being played for more than thirty seconds.

Sound

my speakers wer off so ill totaly give this gaem sound 10/10 even tho i have no idae wat im talking bout lol!!1! such a grate revoiw amirite?/??

Well, actually, there is no sound. And since there is no sound, there will be no points other than the one point I have to give since the legal score limit only goes down to one.

Asking whether the game has replay value is like asking if the sky is not blue. The answer should be obvious and shouldn't need to be asked in the first place.

Only two attacks and no sound? Well, at least he's honest.
