General Commentary and Game Overview
Mario's Bamboo Climbing is a simple game where you avoid projectiles/enemies on a bamboo. It is an mediocre but simple concept and the execution is not that well executed.

Pros - Playable
- Decent MIDI and mp3

Cons - Uneven gaming resolution
- Tons of graphics clashing (it means a lot of unfitting graphics)
- Bad engine
- Absurdly large file

Gameplay
3 / 10
Mario's Bamboo Climbing is a simple game where you avoid projectiles/enemies on a bamboo. The game play is simple: you climb up and down on a bamboo and avoid obstacles, you can change your position by left and right arrow to avoid obstacles on either side.

Simple enough but the game engine itself is a mess. In some cases you can lose a life for no particular reason at all. Some projectiles (like the boomerangs) may get stuck on solid objects. There's also a glitch where Mario can climb above the question blocks by constantly tapping up against the block.

Graphics
1 / 10
I am sorry to say this:
this game has the worst graphics I have ever seen at MFGG

Here are list of different styles clashing I spotted in the game:
- Super Mario World
- Mario & Luigi RPG series
- Mario Kart
- Paper Mario
- Realistic photos found on Google Images (this is a big no no on a fangame unless everything in your game has photo realistic art style)
- Nintendo artworks (another big NO NO on any games at all)
- More unfitting graphics I don't know where they are from

Second a lot of graphics still has those jagged white edges where the author attempt to erase the background.

Third a hand full of graphics are poorly resized.

Last the menu and the game itself has different resolutions. Please stick to the same window size on all of the rooms in your games.

So my final word on the graphics, it's really bad. Even some joke games has better graphics than this. If you want to improve the graphics on your next game, here are my list of advise:
- Stick to ONE style (Example: If your game mainly has SMW styled sprites, stick to SMW styles.)
- DO NOT resize/stretch any sprites
- Make sure you do not use any photo-realistic and official artworks in your games
- Make your game windows size the same

Sound
5 / 10
Audio is the better side of this game. Even though it's mediocre but at least it plays.

Music feels like MIDI mixed with some other instrument. At least the tones is a bit catchy.

Replay
2 / 10
Due to the game is a mess, I wouldn't bother to play it again. At least a highscore table is included.

Final Words
2 / 10
It is a simple concept with poor execution. But the graphics...ugh...
