General Commentary and Game Overview
Now, before I begin, allow me to mention that I haven't played all (or even that many) of Hello's older games, so my perspective of this game will be affected by that. I should also mention that I haven't played through the entire game, but I feel I've played enough for a satisfactory and comprehensive review.

Now then, we all know that Hello is something of a controversial figure in the Mario fangaming community. Of course, this (among other things) means that Hello gets a great deal of attention from the users of this site (for better or worse).

Well, we're looking at Hello's most recent attempt (as of this writing) and probably his most controversial yet.

Pros -Acceptable and non-ugly graphics
-Music is usually pretty okay
-I also cannot disapprove of Super Mario Land music being used
-I may be one of the few who don't find the physics offensive

Cons -Weird and inconsistent difficulty curve
-Some levels have really questionable design choices
-As evidenced by the name, I'm pretty sure there are no original levels
-Lighting effects are occasionally too strong

Impressions
Gameplay
5 / 10
Hello Fangaming Collection is, unsurprisingly, built on Hello's famous (or perhaps infamous) engine. Due to this, most of the issues with the gameplay are inherited from said engine. I'll probably mention them anyway because I'm a goober like that.

Unlike most people, I'm of the opinion that the physics, while certainly in need of some improvement, are quite serviceable.

However, I've noticed a few flaws with the collision system. While I can sympathize, moving platforms are seemingly very buggy and Mario will often hover a few pixels above them.

As mentioned above, this game features no original levels (as far as I'm aware). The quality of the level design varies, but it's hard to give credit to this game for the good bits since they don't originate here.

The difficulty and difficulty curve definitely leave a bit to be desired, too. Since (almost?) none of the levels originate from this game, the difficulty and the reason for it varies. Some levels are genuinely hard, but others are simply unreasonable and poorly designed (Lost Meadow is a cruel mistress).

Also, scattered about the game are various towns where you can gather information about Hello's various projects. Most of the NPCs merely shower praise, but there's the occasional self-deprecation.

Graphics
4 / 10
The graphics, while still not particularly revolutionary, seem to be more interesting than the graphics in his past games for the most part.

There is the matter of the lighting effects, however. Sometimes they're pretty and complement a level nicely, but they may be a bit too thick and overused in some other levels.

Sound
5 / 10
The sound is acceptable. Nothing too exciting and it definitely doesn't exit the realm of Mario music, but the choices seem to fit the levels for the most part.

Replay
4 / 10
Scatter throughout the levels are a series of CDs to collect. This provides an incentive to revisit the game, but admittedly not a terribly compelling one. Not sure if they do anything, honestly.

Final Words
5 / 10
While somewhat solid, Hello Fangaming Collection doesn't really leave a lasting impression on the player.
