General Commentary and Game Overview
In this entry in the prism series, Hello did actually learn a thing or two (which I was surprised to find). A great many things have also been added to things game, like optional collectibles and variety in enemy's and courses. That said this game is still incredibly unpleasant, and I would recommend that no one put themselves through it. Here is why:

Pros Unlike in previous reviews, I'm going to categorize the pros and cons of this review into common problems people have had with the SMP series and comment on each with how those issues were addressed. the categories are:

Control: of course, the pros first. Hello finally decided to read a tutorial for once in their life and finally fixed the floaty, unresponsive movement. The character in this game actually plays like you would expect them to, and does what you want them to when you want it, for the most part. Backflip is still nowhere near as fun and controllable as Prism, but the other moves have been made much better, with ground pound receiving a seriously needed fix that helps stop launching off objects to your death/soflocking yourself after landing on an object while ground pounding.

Camera: Hello finally changed the camera from that god awful camera prism and sweet gallery had. the camera actually works like one from a 3D game now.

Enemy Hitboxes: All returning enemies from previous entries in the prism series have had their hitboxes fixed. No longer are the days of dying over and over trying to kill a goomba.

Level Variety/Design: The levels in this one are much more varied and better designed than ever before. This time featuring puzzles that you actually have to think to solve, or interesting platform challenges. It's like Hello finally looked at a "basics of level design" book.

Bosses: That's right, this game actually HAS bosses. But not only are there bosses, there a boss for every world! The bosses are all just "an enemy but bigger" but it's just good to have them, and most of them are fun enough to fight. My only issue is that the final boss is a bit easy, but it at least does its job as a climactic finish to the game, somehow.

Reward: 100%ing the game in this one actually does something! it isn't much, and depending on who you are it can be seen as a bit "cringe" but it is at least something for the people like me who go the extra mile.

Cons Control: Remember what I said like 30 seconds ago? that the character does what you want them to when you want it? Well, I didn't include "for the most part" for no reason. any jump that isn't standing backflip and regular jumping is hellish to try and pull off. around 40% of the time you try and long jump, you'll just backflip, usually to your death, and around 80% of the time you try and do a side flips you do nothing at all. And remember how I said they added a fix to try and help stop ground pounds from launching you sideways off of things you land on to your death? Well, I do mean try to stop it, because that can still happen. It's much rarer, of course, but it is still there.

Camera: While yes, the camera was changed, I almost wish it wasn't. This New camera is like SM64's but even worse. Just like SM64, the camera has an absolutely nightmarish time trying to move around in tight spaces, but unlike SM64, tight spaces make up around 75% of this game's levels. By level 1 of WORLD 2, every single major flaw of the camera has plenty of time to shine in full force. Then you have the issue that returns from prism where it is very difficult to see what's above you because the camera rams itself firmly into Bowsettes panties, and there's no first-person mode.

Enemy Hitboxes: While yes, returning enemies have had there hitboxes made more forgiving, new enemies hitboxes, except for the shy guys, still have horrendous hitboxes. But an issue that extends across all enemies is a larger hitbox, and when I say larger hitbox I mean larger entire hitbox, both the hitbox for jumping on the enemy and the hitbox for the enemy hitting you, making many enemies feel like the damaged you unfairly. Then there are the extremely janky enemies like the Thwomp and Piranha Creeper. Their hitboxes just don't work at all.

Level Variety/Design: The variety of scenery you see in this game is something I can't complain about. The level design on the other hand I can. Many of the game's challenges don't make sense, don't work, aren't clear to the player, break the hell out of the camera, or a mix of any number of these. It also doesn't help that the game is no stranger to a good old massive difficulty spike. The problem of 100 purple coins stages from prism also returns here in the red coin levels, where instead of the challenge being to collect all the coins over a single area, the challenge is to complete a number of very annoying, cheap, and more often than not extremely dysfunctional challenges each giving you 1 coin. This basically makes those levels into a gauntlet of 5 stages that must be beaten in a row. And don't get me started on the lightbox and dark levels. Those levels are all cramped corridors filled with rediculous challenges and vague direction. Also, many of the challenges in dark levels just don't work. Those levels would be hard enough with the broken camera and challenges, but you also have to do it while you can't see at all. By far the worst levels in the game.

Bosses: Most of the bosses I don't have an issue with. The biggest problem I have is that they're either incredibly easy, or they are incredibly annoying not because the boss is hard but because the arena was terribly designed. Beyond that the bosses are fairly well designed and a good addition overall.

Reward: It's nice to even have a reword. I wish it was more clear, like maybe give you a cutscene, or even a dialogue saying you 100%ed the game, but what you do get is enough to satisfy me.

Impressions
Gameplay
1 / 10
The begging is actually fun, but every single world after 1 is just more and more miserable. The game stops being fun at world 3 and there are 6 worlds. It was awful just to play it, but beating it, let alone completing it made that slog even worse. Absolutely terrible.

Graphics
1 / 10
The graphics are not great. Whatever isn't ripped from a Mario game is a stock unity square with a 3D world texture slapped on. I have a similar issue with the animations. Whatever isn't ripped from a game looks stilted and extremely awkward. Overall it isn't an unpleasant game to look at, but I wouldn't call it good.

Sound
1 / 10
The sound effects are all pretty well chosen, but there are far too few of them. Many things have no wait because they simply make no sound. The music is just bad. It's all 30-second dubstep loops that are extremely grading. Also, almost all the songs have to keep reminding you that, yes, you are playing a Bowsette game. see? We said Bowsette in the song!

Final Words
1 / 10
This has got to be the most inconsistent mess I've ever played. from control to the camera, to difficulty, to even whether or not the hitboxes work, everything is inconsistent, and most of it is absolutely miserable. I could go on about how all the puzzles are box puzzles, or how it feels like the levels weren't test played, or how the Super Crown part of the game feels incredibly forced, but honestly, I've said enough. This game is not fun, and this game is not enjoyable to any degree. Do not waste your time on this steaming pile of trash.

The pros and cons list is longer than the actual review sections and even has a pro or two listed in cons (like the reward for 100%ing the game). The context given in the review doesn't really match the review score given either.

All around a very poor quality review of a game that really didn't need another 1/10 score. I think the message has been heard loud and clear throughout the community that the community thinks the game is shit at this point.

Nothing wrong with another’s perspective imo. Also the swearing... Try not to do that here.

I made the pros and cons list longer than the actual review section because it represents my opinion of this game much better than any other way of doing it would. I wanted to drive in the 1 step forward 2 steps back this game takes over and over. The "pros listed in cons" as you say it I added because of how I organized the review. Sometimes I had only nitpicks or nothing bad to say at all about my chosen sections and I wanted to make that clear. However, in this review there are numerous obvious gramatical and spelling errors I could have fixed, and it could have been executed better overall. That said I do not regret writing this review, and I think the score is completely justified. While I may not have ended on a "true con" I think the sheer amount of cons on the 2 key things in 3D platform games (the control and camera) should have made the final score seem completely reasonable. I am not exadurating when I say this game drained my soul.
