General Commentary and Game Overview
Mr. Pence Goes To The New Dough Disco: Definitive Edition is the new (!) sequence to Mr. Pence Series. Does it take the series to a higher level? Let's see!
Last year, when I played the first Dough Disco, I remember I hated it. I gave a 8/10 in my review of MP Travels The World, and when I saw that Misteryt1MFGG posted a new game of the series I got really excited. The first thing I noted is the quality of the first impressions of the game: beautiful main menu, cutscenes and transitions. Unfortunely, the level design of the first levels is terrible. You just walk right, jump here and there, walk right, EXCEPT there's a boss fight after every level. Which enriches the gameplay - and the fun. The background of the levels also doesn't feel good. I would say it was a regress from the last game. At the end of the day it's just the "charm" of the Mr. Pence series.
The story itself isn't different from any Mr. Pence game: it IS really fun. To say the truth, I liked the game because of the story, jokes and bossfights (and because I'm a fan of MP series), not because of the levels itself. So, nope. It didn't take the series to a higher level, but it's still a good game.

Pros As expected, funny story;
Good jokes;
An expansion to the series;
Great songs;
PLOT TWIST;
The instruction manual is REALLY FUNNY, just like the previous game.

Cons A expansion, not a evolution;
Level design is not good, not bad;
Kinda dissapointing.

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
Like in MP Travels The World, the gameplay is still okay. Something that is different from the last game is that the levels are easy, boss fights are easy too. But it's fun anyway. Also, the password are gone: I think the reason is that 'cause they wouldn't have any function, since that is really hard to die.

Graphics
7 / 10
Graphics ripped from other Mario games. They look... nice. Also, in the middle of the levels you'll find (again) some hating to pop music. I'm starting to think that Misteryt1MFGG really doesn't like Can't Stop The Feeling. And Ed Sheeran. Something I missed was the world map, but I think the reason of the last game had a map is 'cause MP was travelling all the world.

Sound
7 / 10
Well, nice songs to hear, but nothing memorable. Just normal songs that fit well.

Replay
6 / 10
I think the replay factor is something that got better. After defeating the last boss, I felt a nice sensation of victory. Even if it feels like a DLC or something, if I find this game in my computer on the next months I would definitively have a look.

Final Words
8 / 10
I wouldn't say that Mr Pence Goes To The New Dough Disco: Definitive Edition is a evolution to the series, but an addition. Anyway, it's a nice game to have in your library.
