General Commentary and Game Overview
Super Mario Kart NES is a classic 90s style racer with the limitations of the NES. You can race around as 4 different racers while jamming to an excellent 8-bit recreation of Mario Kart's soundtrack.

Pros The pros are:
- Great Music. The music feels nice and crisp, as well as being authentic to the NES.
- Great Realism. The racing game play is accurate to the 90s 2d racers, and all of the sprite and pixel work looks Nintendo quality.

Cons The cons are:
- May be difficult for people who grew up in later generations. As times has passed, racing games have become easier to control leaving some newer gamers to feel overwhelmed by the high speeds of this game. I experienced this as I did not grow up in the SNES era, but this is just my opinion.

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
Controls are tight but the high speed can make the game feel over-punishing for some. It's fun to crash into other racers and thrilling to feel bursts of speed.

Graphics
10 / 10
The graphics are very authentic to the NES! This is a great showcase of pixel art, and making the game overhead view was a clever design choice to fit the NES' capabilities, and it also make it feel similar to racing games of the SNES era.

Sound
10 / 10
The sounds are amazing! Music is nice and crisp and feels like a remaster, sound effects are realistic to the NES, and sounds overall compliment the game play with their similar tones.

Final Words
9 / 10
Super Mario Kart NES will be fun for people who grew up on video games during the 80s and 90s, but can feel punishing for people not use to the feel of fast paced 2d racers.
