Super Mario World: Koopa Rig By: KrusperButter [W]
Yep I'm back. Made this Koopa rig thing. Very useful if you want to make some nice looking poses in Photoshop or animate them in Flash. I know I'm gonna use this for my sprite animations! No credit needed. I will definitely make more SMW rigs in the future!

Ah, this is very similar to how I lay out my Paper Mario sprites. Then again, this a common sort of thing for Flash puppets and even the original Paper Mario sprites pulled that off.

If you're using puppet rigs for sprite animation, you're doing it wrong.

How come it's the worst thing ever to use puppet rigs for sprite animations? While I can see why they'll look a bit tacky, it's not like Flash Puppets in sprite animations are a major taboo (especially if they are used by a very skilled animator).

Allow me to explain.

A rig is the term for a puppet (particularly one created in a digital environment) after it is fully assembled and controls are fully implemented for operating it.
