Enjoy the exciting adventures of Mario and his Friends from Mushroom Heights in a brand-new launcher!!!!


From 2024.1 onwards, this game will be receiving updates from the launcher version only!

Features:

-It can now download the game(if it doesn't exist in the required location) and update automatically if a new version has rolled out.

FAQs:

Q: Does this work?
A: It works almost perfectly. I have tested it in every possible condition like switching off the internet during download, when the game is deleted, when there is no internet connection before download, etc.

Q: How is it made?
A: The launcher has two parts: the front-end and the back-end. The front-end GUI is made in GM8 and the back-end is in GMS2. So, communication between GM8 executable and GMS2 executable is through .txt files, .bat files, and .ini files.

Q: Is it safe?
A: Yes, it is safe. Since all my game source files are hosted in GitHub, you can even check the link here: https://github.com/WinMithul/SMBF-Updater
So, it downloads only the game files, the release notes, and the version number.

Suppose the launcher does not work, you can download the game on itch.io(but the download file still refers to being externally stored on GitHub).
