SMB3 PC - Misc By: Q-Nova [W]
A sprite sheet that has all of the stuff that doesn't belong in my other three sprite sheets of rips from id Software's SMB3 port to PC, at least from what was seen in a video of the SMB3 port, as no download of the port exists, since Nintendo declined it, even though, they were impressed by it. This includes the the title screen, user interface, font (some characters are made by me as they aren't shown in the video), and a poof effect.

I've never heard of this before! I saw the rest of your rips!
The sprites are pretty weird looking. But where can I find the video of this strange piece of media?

this looks like a bootleg more than a actual port. ( no offense)

Haha, yeah, I get what you mean! Don't worry, no offense is taken at all. These are just rips/recreations; these sprites aren't custom-made by me (aside from anything with a pink background, although some of them are recolors).

I believe their reference was the SMB3 game running on a TV, so they couldn't just use the raw data since A) I doubt tools like YY-CHR existed back then and B) Nintendo wouldn't give them the data. Sure, the sprites could've been more accurate, but I doubt they wanted to spend too much time on them since they were making a tech demo to send to Nintendo. Had Nintendo green-lighted the project, I'm sure they would go back and refine the graphics. I'll admit, though, I quite like the sprites as they are. The bootleg look is charming and provides a distinctive and slightly iconic appearance. I think they would be fun to see in a joke game!
