Yosho I know there's worse games than this one (I'm looking at you Super Mario Bros. Super Quest).
But we all have to agree that this game is not wroth playing.
I will never recover my lost time that i wasted playing game.
1 / 10
littlelum This game isn't as bad as people say as it is and I actually enjoyed it for a bit, but honestly, this game isn't that good. 3 / 10
Old Yuanxian This game could have been good with more polish, but sadly, the creator didn't have the required programming knowledge to make it. 1 / 10
Cap'n Coconuts What is this, a prison designed to bore Mallow to death? What did he ever do to you? 2 / 10
Willsaber The game is under-rated, but it's not groundbreaking! 5 / 10
Mario350 This is a really decent, enjoyable maze game that you should give a try at. It has ok sound, nostalgic graphics, and great gameplay. If you love maze games or would like to play a game starring Mallow, you should definitly play this. 7 / 10
Red9378 Real Plot: Help Mallow escape the dark depths of an mysterious unknown world that seems to unaMAZE you. In other words, I highly recommend no one to play this game. 1 / 10
Vg Lizards This game is just terrible 1 / 10
marioforever Seriously, if there is going to be a Mallow Maze 3, please add things like powerups or stuff players WOULD actually like. 1 / 10
DavidCaruso This game isn't exactly...*shades*...on cloud nine. YEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH 1 / 10
Ryan Silberman Poor Mallow...I can't believe this was done to him. First, his grandpa's coin was stolen in Super Mario RPG, and now he has a Mario fangame as a threat to him. Can't he just live in peace? 2 / 10
Char Waste of 5 minutes. 1 / 10
Roo Quite possibly the worst... thing I've ever laid my gaming hands on. 1 / 10
Average Score 2.1 / 10

No offense but, this is ridiculiously boring. Controls are buggy and sticky, levels with unneccessary long paths, the blue mallow goes through the purple block? I played all levels checking if there were any powerups. But the sprites are OK but the star sprite bumbed up my ratings for the sprites. In Mallow Maze 3, well if you are going to make one, please make stuff like powerups and stuff players want and what players would enjoy.

These are good ideas, and since I've learned more about Game Maker, I will be able to make this game a lot better.

Honestly, yes, I know that Mallow Maze 2 is a piece of crap. It is basically nothing but the result of boredom in a school comptuter class. However, I'm practicing with Game Maker and there will be an actual GAME coming soon.

Let's just say that Mallow Maze's goal was to test you're patience.

It's the instrumental of a rap song, "Forever" by Drake. It was in there because I wanted to test sound importing.

Like I said, it was a test of game making basics, not music composition. lol

The idea isn't bad but you should add graphic with more animations (especially for Mallow) and some sound effects (when you touch the [?] block, when you die...).
For the music, it isn't bad too but it doesn't look 8-bit music.

This is just a reminder for those who continuously bash something that was not an effort to do what they're expecting. Good things ARE coming. Be patient.

Hm... It looks like they just don't get it yet. It looks like these people can't read, or at least refuse to read, that there will be much better games. I made it REALLY obvious that I was just testing Game Maker itself and am still working on a better game. Wiiboy4ever has swag, cause he came back to bash a second time, just to be cute. We still have people who don't read comments, talking about "Ew bad music" when I mentioned that this wasn't a test of music composition or synchronization. What's the point of bashing when there's nothing to bash?

This website's community is harsh when it comes to something they don't like. I guess they're getting spoiled with great games and expect everything on here to be the same as those games.

You're missing the point. When you make a game and submit it here, it actually helps IF YOU PUT EFFORT INTO IT. Trash like this shouldn't belong here. Neither do game maker tests. If you are simply "testing" a game, then why are you uploading it here for people to try? Get some experience first, perfect that thing, and then try again.

Um, I'm guessing you don't know what you're talking about. I'm not spoiled with great games. If a game is horrible, then what the heck am I supposed to say? "Oh, this game is just WONDERFUL!" I don't think so. All I expect is that games should be good, or at least better than garbage. And actually have effort put into it. I don't expect for them to be the best games in the universe.

You could actually say ways to make the game better without being offensive to the game creator and saying things that might make them give up game creation forever. Don't ruin a hobby.

Actually, one of the main things I was looking for was what I need to improve. That's why I posted this "game". A post that tells me that the controls are not plausible is a sucky post, whereas a post that tells me that the controls are not plausible BECAUSE you have to release a key to move another direction is a good post. I also was unaware that the blue cloud was moving through the purple blocks, but this does not have to be brought to my attention in a degrading way. You see what I'm saying?

I never brought any of those things to your attention, first of all. Second of all, I don't think I should have to tell you exactly what's wrong with it and how exactly to fix it. That is YOUR work. Not mine. All I should have to say is "Please fix the controls, their buggy". I mean, should I really have to go into deepest detial for something that's so obvious? I think not.

What if it isn't obvious?

Constructive criticism, almost by definition, is supposed to help the criticized by giving them ideas on how to improve. "Buggy" is not a descriptive way of telling somebody how to fix something.

If you're vague in telling somebody what's wrong with their work, they'll never understand what they're doing wrong. Sure, in this case, the guy who uploaded the game already knew most of its problems, but most people aren't going to upload a test game with the the same intentions.

Keep that in mind.

It's a lot easier to describe the problem than to argue for a huge portion of a comment page.

* controls were unresponsive
* the music stopped playing after a while
* 9Mb for a game like this is too much. SuperMarioWorld, for example, is 4Mb. Please use midi or mp3 as your music, never wav, preferably midi.

Actually,
Large music files (such as .MP3 and .WAV files) are heavily discouraged. These can increase the size of a game dramatically, and your game may be declined for being needlessly large. If MP3 music is necessary, please encode the music so that the file size is as small as possible.
So,do not use MP3.
