The mask is probably an add on programmed to follow the shyguy. Although in luigis mansion there were shyguy ghosts where you had to suck theyre masks of and theyre faces looked like that.

WOW shy guy without his mask is...WRONG,shyguy without his mask is everything black but if you want to see shy guy without his mask and without shadow covering his real face,download legend of the radiant mask or legend of the radiant mask 2 right here on mfgg and in the beginning you will see SHY GUY WITHOUT HIS MAAAAAAAAASK!!!!!
