General Commentary and Game Overview
Super Mario Buys Bread is a fan-game that is no short of looking and feeling like something that would be on the site (or somewhere else) decades ago. MSPaint graphics, goofy designs, and the hallmark of that weird ass era, Fire Mario uses a Shotgun.

The gameplay of SMBB isn't all too different from SMB1, as there is no vertical level design, just a long horizontal stretch across varying level themes. Although Mario's physics are kinda JANKY all things considered, you go from 0 to 10 to 30 instantly without any acceleration/deceleration.

Each world in this demo has 4 levels, and if you get to the end fast enough, you can do a Special Stage to get chaos emeralds, having all of them allows you to go Super Saiyan... (If Luigi is in this you bet there might be a Super Saiyan Luigi with a Shotgun... But going Super doesn't have that, so...)

Pros - Charming graphics of eras gone by
- MIDI music
- Relatively fast
- Fun
- Feels like something from the late 2000's

Cons - Feels like something from the late 2000's
- You can very easily careen right into a bottomless pit or a hazard due to the levels and controls sometimes being too much

Impressions
Gameplay
6 / 10
Aside from being way too jank for its own good, the controls and gameplay are serviceable; You can run, jump, move, stomp on turkeys (No, not Koopas, those aren't in here!) and a whole variety of wacky enemies to shoot.

Something that can be a little crappy are the bosses, which have drastically different difficulties depending on if you're Fire Mario or can go Super Saiyan. If you can't do either, you are quite screwed due to how janky the bosses are.

Graphics
8 / 10
Everything has a charming MSPaint feel to it, non-pixel perfect drawings, backgrounds and other things. Some enemies and bosses also have really exaggerated and goofy expressions sometimes.

Sound
9 / 10
The music and sound doesn't seem to be mixed right, but still, it's basically a perfect fit.

Final Words
7 / 10
Overall, it's not bad, but it really needs to iron out those creases that are the controls and boss fight design.
