General Commentary and Game Overview
Super Mario Buys Bread is a game where Mario... has to buy bread. It looks like something that's been on the site for a decade. It plays like SMB1, but the levels are linear, meaning there are no warps. This game is a massive crossover, mainly mixing elements from Sonic with Mario, packed with tons of references to gaming and the internet of the 2000s-2010s (and even a few to modern times!). Prepare to get suprised by the game many times.

Pros + Well-balanced humor
+ Mario having a voice
+ Replayability
+ Tons of references, some niche ones
+ 2000s fangame feel, but this time plays better than the last demo
+ Has an assist mode (called Cream Mode in the game, which helps during boss battles by giving power-ups)

Cons - Difficult at times
- French fries
- Some stages feel impossible without chaos emeralds

Impressions
Gameplay
7 / 10
Player's physics are really close to SMB.1, cannot crouch though, but that's not the problem because Mario doesn't grow in size when picking up the sphaghetti can (yes, that's the equivalent to the mushroom), instead, he gets SWOLE. Also, when he picks the spicy meatballs, he gets a shotgun, like a real man.

The game saves every level, which is good, but it's annoying when you have one life left, going to the title screen over and over again.

Some bosses are too chaotic, I do reccomend getting the chaos emeralds as quickly as it is possible.

Graphics
10 / 10
Polished mspaint graphics, looks good.

Sound
10 / 10
Mario having a voice is spot on! Sound effects are fine. Music choice is fitting and catchy.

Final Words
9 / 10
Very fun game that can be beaten in one sitting.
