| Pros | Great graphics and presentation (except for the blinear filter). The level design is really good. Great MIDI music. |
| Cons | Slow and slippery controls. The game has a blinear filter. You can't remap the controls. |
Gameplay 6 / 10 |
The controls are a bit slippery and slow. They aren't hard to get used to, though. The jumping is pretty rough, if you release the key mid-jump, Mario's Y speed stops abruptly, and while this happens in the Mega Man games, it's not really suited for a platformer like Mario. Whenever you hit a message block, you have to press P. Also, you can't remap the controls and change the keys. You have to stick to using A to jump and S to run. You could add it as a option in the menu bar. |
Graphics 9 / 10 |
The graphics look amazing. You picked many sprites from Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars, and they blend really well into the game. However, there's the infamous blinear filter which i really dislike. It looks all muddy, and i really would like to see the game without this horrible filter around it. You could try making it an option in the menu bar as well. Despite this, i loved it. |
Sound 9 / 10 |
The MIDI music sounds amazing and really faithful to the original songs. You probably sequenced them since i never heard these renditions before. |

Needs some improvement, but it's a great game overall. |
