Dear Fans and Followers,
I have been a fan of the Super Mario series ever since my parents bought me an NES for Christmas more than 30 years ago. I have always dreamt of building my own Mario game one day. It was a dream that became more feasible after my studies of electrical engineering and computer programming in college.
From 2016 to 2020, I have created my own Super Mario game engine and level editor. There were ample resources on the Internet that allowed me to create my own version of the Super Mario algorithm.
During the pandemic, I have tried to spend my free time on cultivating my video game programming hobby. From 2021 to 2025, I have built a 70-stage Super Mario fangame that I titled Super Mario Nation.

I am interested in hearing feedback. I tried to make my engine as bug free as possible. If you see your work (especially graphics) in this game, please tell me.

I feel bad this has no comments or reviews, because from what little I've played thus far, this has a ton of soul to it! I'll be coming back here to give my thoughts when I get around to really playing this and finishing it.

Thank you for your kind comments! A couple of comments on my own.
Have you noticed the game freezing during stage transitions or inventory selection? Please note that I have fixed those 2 massive bugs and am about to release a new version at the end of August 2025.
I would like to hear more feedback from everyone, as I plan to make a sequel with more features in the distant future.

This gives me the classic MFGG fangame vibe; the graphics and use of MIDI, I want to cry now...

Also, I believe it's just me but the controls don't buffer every time I change a stage. I have to minimize the tabs.

mrpin355, other playtesters have already notified me about that bug. I fixed it about a month ago. I am about to release a new build.

I'm several worlds in and haven't been able to complete the game so far, but it's very nice to see the project come to fruition after following its development on the forums!

How to toggle fullscreen?

You can't toggle full-screen. I had so much trouble with it with my first video game projects that I ditched trying to make a full-screen game.
