General Commentary and Game Overview
I wanna lub dis gaym. It looks good and sounds perdy good. :)
Heck it's even ~75% finished. But oh man did this game tick me off before this demo, and now?

I feel less angry but I'm still not fully enjoying this peak in the making. I wanna wish the Midas Team absolute luck on finishing this game since delving a non-profit fangame can be a molasses swamp.

You guys should get some more programmers/coders on this stuff because quite a few parts are strapped with Elmer's Glue and Scotch Tape.

But yeah, I can say I enjoyed this game. Quite a bit.

Pros Great graphics, good music, funny writing. They added the exit level button which I'm thankful for.

Cons This game is busted sometimes.

Crashes.

(ex. Dying at the very first level due to Mario crouch-jumping and clipping into the pipe and after leaving the Docks post Viral Infection, which booting up removes the level and I'm able to go to World 6. World 3's boss appearing in Show Time! and a prop would've appeared in the fight? Wario's sliding sprite crashing right when I was about to finish Coral Pokey Trench.)

I was able to control myself in the icy Bowser cutscene in Abandoned Castle. (It was a li'l funny though.)

Some level names extend from the box, graphics being misplaced / not appearing. (ex. Captain Toad Strikes Back! doesn't have the ground bg sprite, Lakipunk's Skyway's trees are cut off at the beginning)

Softlocks. (Only real one I got was skipping Sudsy Shore, aside from that, they're usually in the level design which I can just exit)

Music and Sound settings are weird. I have the Music at 1 and it's playing at full unless I put it to 0. Had to use EarTrumpet to lower it.

Impressions
Gameplay
5 / 10
Everyone felt slow to run and jump with. They should feel snappy and have a slight Coyote Time since sometimes the input drops when I'm about to make a running jump. (Maybe just add +1 to all their run stats?)
I'm also not a huge fan on guessing which plumber I should pick for each level.
Rolling Cactus's ball is stiff to turn around.

This game feels slow, not just with Mario and the gang's movement speed, but also the loop of beating the levels and trying to collect everything. It's kind of a drag to replay Worlds 1 and 2 before I get to play as all 4 plumbers. Like a 1-'Shroom level can take like 6 minutes? Sure. But ehh, I feel like it should go a li'l bit faster, then again I prefer to beat games in a day instead of a day to beat like 2 worlds so maybe that's just me.

The few quizzes are fine. (I definitely felt so srs in Coliseum Confrontation's bonus round.)
I think it should have a pause menu in the overworld map so that I can exit the game without having to press the X on the tab.
(And MAYBE add like one more power-up since I feel pretty restrained with only the Fire Flower and the Takko flavors. It's a maybe since a flying power up like the leaf could kinda break the level design.)

Graphics
7 / 10
The graphics are the MAIN reason on why I was attracted to this game. They look lovely most of the time. From the forests, the houses, the desert, the... starry. places... ... the Wacked Out Woods? Yes. The icebergs, and the city levels, and pine tree level? It's a buffet of simple, well put together anti-aliased pixel art that would completely befit Super Princess Peach's brother of a game.

Sound
6 / 10
I love the music, the SML submarine beach remix in World 6 is nice, Capt. Syrup's theme is simple but a bit catchy, the main overworld theme is good too. Not a huge fan of the minibosses theme even though it fits right in a GBA/DS game. It's weird that they used Cirno's theme for World 4's overworld map, but it's whatevs.

Final Words
7 / 10
I recommend this, simply because I want this game to be the peak it should.

This review was before I talked to Vinny so don't mind the gameplay paragraph.
