General Commentary and Game Overview
Super Mario Dynamo is a unique twist on the normally easy Super Mario Bros. series, with a fun new walljumping mechanic and some good ol' hardcore platforming just like Super Meat Boy and You Have to Win the Game that will both make you rage and hook you in at the same time.

Pros Cool visual effects, really makes you ask "oh god, what has Luigi done to the place"?
Introduces a lot of new concepts
Entirely new powerups and powerups from more recent games such as SM3DL and NSMB
Intriguing story
Interesting levels
Well-designed boss(es)

Cons Some frustrating mechanics, more in Gameplay
Bug: you can escape the world map. In the space right above Rotten Graveyard, go left. You're free now.

Impressions
Gameplay
7 / 10
Captures the feel of most other run-'n'-jump games pretty well, but there are some mechanics that make me groan and don't really motivate me to finish that one level:
-Dying in a level returns you to the world map and has a little cutscene where Mario walks from the level you failed back to the last level you completed. Would help if you just respawned at the last checkpoint you touched, so we don't have to manually walk all the way back over to the level we want to play if we accidentally slipped up in the spike area or something.
-When you mess up big time, there's no restart button that respawns you at the last checkpoint you touched. Pretty frustrating in Level 3 where you can accidentally bump into a ceiling or something and then fall all the way down to the start of the level.
-You always turn the other way when you drop from a wall instead of walljumping off of it, which makes it very hard trying to quickly slide down further on a wall.
-Pipe Tangle has an easier-to-find secret exit than a regular exit. I suggest the Green Switch Palace unlocks a gate to the next level or something.
One thing I do love though is that Mario's dialogue successfully mocks his limited vocabulary in the games.

Graphics
10 / 10
The foggy atmosphere fits very well with the story where Luigi polluted the Mushroom Kingdom with all his factories and such, and also fits with the hardcore feel of the game. Very fluently combines completely new graphics with the familiar SMB3 graphics.

Sound
9 / 10
Never actually played this with my speakers on, but I'll hope for the best and rate 9/10.

Replay
8 / 10
After you finish the game, there are still some super-hard Advance coins you can hunt for in some levels, and some switch palaces... I'm also figuring "The Exchange" is for something post-game.

Final Words
8 / 10
Now, I'm a "hardcore platformer" kinda guy but I'll say it's a pretty decent run-'n'-jump game, although the mechanics can be a bit uncomforting at times. One update could fix it all.
