General Commentary and Game Overview

I've mentioned it in the review, but there is alot of stuff in this game, so there are gonna be at least a few issues, like the slowdown, using the Takko as an extra hit, water physics, and such, but dispite all that, I think it's still worth a shot! I like this game, but it's still a demo and needs a bit of work...

Still love it though!

Pros

-I like the idea of the DSe system, it's really useful!

-Some of the level ideas were quite creative, loved it!

-It was really fun to play!(I might play some after I'm done this review actually...)

-Four playable characters, each with different abilities!

Cons

-It lagged whenever you'd enter a pipe or a door or during cutscenes.

-Water physics are a bit iffy, jumping out of the water can sometimes be a pain and I would often lose all my powerups from jumping in.

-You would lose your Takko AND powerup in one hit, that's just annoying, I'd recommend losing your Takko, then your powerups.

-Dunno if it's implemented yet or not, but I couldn't manage to get the DSe to work, I had DSe power-ups, but it woudn't let me use them...

-Needs some kind of tutorial...

Impressions

Gameplay 6 / 10	I would say the gameplay was overall very well done, running and jumping felt almost just like a Mario game, though there were problems(I point you to my Cons section), but considering overall, I'd say it's pretty good!
Graphics 9 / 10	I love the graphics, they looked colorful and everything seemed to match up pretty well! It's good game to look at, but I did find ONE problem, sometimes the background would make it like there was flooring in some bottomless pits when there weren't...
Sound 10 / 10	All the music fit the feel of the levels/areas you were in, but somehow still managed to match the style(In my opinion)!
Replay 6 / 10	I would replay this quite a few times before I'd get bored, there's always the option to collect the golden mushrooms too, but sadly that's all there really is, maybe add a couple bonuses for completing various objectives, like unlocking new power ups, and minigames you could play.

Final Words

If you're looking for a fun game to play, you'll definitely want to at least try this game, I played it and am REALLY looking forward to when the full version is released!

Wait... can you explain the issue with the DSe? You pause the game, go to items, and select and item. Simple as that. If you could explain the situation, or maybe give me some screenshots, I might be able to help figure out what went wrong. As for replay, theres also alt paths, as well as the challenge levels. Both worlds 1 and 2 and most future worlds) feature split paths that you can take that give you a nice amount of different levels. I mainly mention that as I've noticed that some people have missed said paths. All that aside, thanks for the review.
