General Commentary and Game Overview

Super Mario Comic Strip is one of the best old Mario fangames I've ever played. It has the Mario style to it as well, with the exception of some enemy placement (and music).

Pros	+Cute and bouncy visuals +innovative powerups +that "Mario" feel; you know what i'm talking about!
Cons	-Grating Music -Some enemy placement is... bleh. -Not much to it.

Impressions

Gameplay 8 / 10	The gameplay is pretty good, aside from not giving you any controls at the beginning. Mario's Kitsune powerup was pretty cool as well (and adorable).
Graphics 10 / 10	I loved the visuals. They had the colorful, bouncy Mario style to them as icing on the cake as well! Even the ? blocks are decorated showing what powerup is in them!
Sound 2 / 10	This is unfortunately one of the things this game falls flat on. The song is good, yes, but it doesn't have that Mario styled "never gets grating on your ears" feel.
Replay 4 / 10	There isn't much to the replay value, except for getting all the word bubbles. (Still more replay value than a certain Spoopy game.) Though this is justified; [the creator] said this game was scrapped.

Final Words

Truthfully, I really enjoyed this. It feels a lot like a good 16 bit Mario game.
