General Commentary and Game Overview

Taking a look at fangames of the past is always fun, and those have turned out to be my personal favorites. This didn't look like much from when I saw the thumbnail, but MMP is surprisingly fun.

Pros	-Controls -Fast and frantic gameplay -High scores
Cons	-Plain graphics -Limited ammo

Impressions

Gameplay 7 / 10	MMP has you going under the sea to battle Lakitus and Cheep-Cheeps using the Marine Pop. It felt really fun. It has nice controls, a frantic feeling that captures the essence of SHMUPs pretty well for a fangame, and overall just a nice experience. However, the enemies and bosses provide no challenge. The ammo limit does. There are ammo packs, but they can't be collected if you're out of ammo. That's not difficulty, that's laziness.
Graphics 5 / 10	Looks pretty plain. Nothing to say here.
Sound 7 / 10	Sounds fine. All basic music that fits pretty well.
Replay 6 / 10	There's no extra content, but the High Scores and fun gameplay allow it to get away with no extras.

This old game really is a fun experience to have. Download it now.

I don't understand why people even like this game. In retrospect I honestly think it sucked.
