General Commentary and Game Overview
After discovering the Dark Being, this game was made. Since it was scrapped, there isn't a lot here. But there's the alternate Mushroom Kingdom and Shy Guy's Toybox (which I don't know what the heck is that place anyway).

I may be reviewing a game that is made in 2003, but still, let's review, shall we?

Pros +Nice-chapters story
+Neat Goomba idea
+Music fits well

Cons -A few sound effects are missing
-Max health is two

Impressions
Gameplay
9 / 10
Like the Mario platformer games, you try to get to the goal without taking serious damage by enemies. There's no power-ups, but you use a hammer instead. A swing of a hammer can defeat enemies, and this seems to be a nice idea. I even liked your Goomba, where if you squish it, it'll deflatten itself and you'll be launched up if you stand on it.

For a nice change of pace, you can control the creator (?) in chapter two, where you'll have to get to the goal before you run out of powder. You can get more powder by staying close to the powder bags.

The bosses are great, and they a nice difficultly curve. But this game isn't without flaws, as I think having two points of health as your max seems to be too little.

Graphics
8 / 10
The graphics are nice, especially the giant Shy Ghost. None of them clash, but it has a SMW background (as SMW graphics are overused by today's standards). Oh, and I think the dojo-like room could been visually better.

There could have been more detail in the menus, but whatever. Otherwise, I think the graphics look good.

Sound
8 / 10
The music sounds nice and never sounds repetitive. They are all fitting too.

Sound effects are okay, but I think if you use the hammer in the air, a sound shouldn't play. Also, I noticed that a few sound effects are missing.

Replay
5 / 10
Well, there's only two levels here. I don't know why I'd ever play this again, though. But I guess I'll give this a 5, as it could be a little time passer.

Final Words
7 / 10
It may not be finished (if it's ever going to be finished, that is) yet, but you'll enjoy this great demo.
