Because his hair is pillowshaded in the anime (which didnt have very good graphics anyway) doesn't mean you should use pillowshading here, too.

It's like having a light between us and the object (the hair in this case)... sorry, I'm bad at explaining! But it doesn't really have to do with the hair style itself, which is what I think you are referring to when you say it is "kooky."
