General Commentary and Game Overview
It's pretty much the same story as with every other Mario Kart game, some Mario characters to go racing for no rea-oh wait, there is no story in all Mario Kart games, isn't there? But I don't really mind if there is no story, as Mario Kart games seem to work well without a story.

Okay, so this is our nin-wait a minute, is this a FANGAME?! Oh my gosh, it's actually a freaking fangame! You may have earned an amazing achievement, DJ Coco, but is this really a good Mario Kart fangame? Let's see....

Pros +Well-polished menus
+Well-designed HUD
+It's a actual Mario Kart fangame
+Graphics are okay

Cons -Drifting is weird
-Race tracks could use some originality
-CPUs can be a little unfair sometimes
-Could use some more sound effects

Gameplay
8 / 10
My gosh, where do I start? Hm, let's start with the menus, since that's the first thing we encounter. So, one positive thing I want to say is that they are so well polished! Great job on making them very shiny and clean, DJ Coco! Now, let's look at the main menu, we have a "Start Game" button which obviously starts the game. There is also a couple options here, which are "Set FPS" (lowering it can make the game go faster) and "Remap Keys" (which obviously lets you remap the keys).

After hitting "Start Game", you'll see "Grand Prix", "Time Trails, and "VS Mode", all of which should be obvious to you if you have played a Mario Kart game before, but in case if you haven't played a Mario Kart game before, I'll explain them. Grand Prix lets you race in one of the four cups (each of which has four race tracks), and after the four race tracks, you might get a trophy or not, which depends on where you have placed at. Time Trails allows you to race in one of the race tracks, JUST by yourself, as it's just a mode where you try to beat your record. VS Mode has the most freedom out of all of the three modes, because it allows you to do a number of races under your own set of rules.

Anyway, let's get into the race, shall we? It works like the other Mario Kart games. The CPU are actually controlled by real people, because they are working really great! They are not perfect, however. One of the problems with them is that sometimes no matter how well you do in the race, you'll never be able to catch up them, as if they were "Sonic the Hedgehog-fast" cheetahs. Another problem with them is that they don't get spun out if they have collided with the cars in Mushroom Avenue (while you get spun out if you have collided with one of those cars), which can made that race track very difficult in 150cc. Besides those two problems, I have no problems with them.

All of the items are from the official Mario Kart games, and they work very good (even though, the Bullet Bill seems a little slow, which is a surprise for a Bullet Bill). Though, I think there could have been some original items.

The drifting is okay, but it's weird using it, because it's not like in the other Mario Kart games. Though, I liked it once I have gotten used to it.

The race tracks are okay, but they could have some improvements. They are very linear, because there are no alternate paths and shortcuts. Most of them could also use some more originality, as most of those race tracks are based on race tracks from other Mario Kart games. The only original race track I can see is the Sakura Valley one.

For a Mario Kart fangame, it works very well, but it needs a few improvements.

Graphics
7 / 10
The graphics look really pleasing, especially seeing how limited is 3D with Game Maker. Though, some of the graphics seem to clash a little (like that one SMW background, which doesn't seem to go well with those MKDS models IMO), but not too bad. The shadows are a little weird however, I suggest that you should either make them circles or use a lighting engine (the latter would make the models look better!). The MKDS models are a little ugly, heck, some parts of them look like they were made out of paper, because they are a little flat!

So, graphics are okay, and they are impressive for a 3D game that is made by Game Maker.

Sound
7 / 10
The music sounds really nice, which I'm assuming most of them are from Mario Kart 8. I can definitely recognize one of the music tracks, which is from Mario Kart 64.

The sounds are nice, but there is some missing ones, which is not good. One of the most notable missing sounds, is the engine sounds. Just why did you NOT insert them? It just feels weird for a racing game to have no engine sounds, and it makes it feel like I'm flying through the air.

Replay
6 / 10
You can always try to beat your records in Time Trails, so there is some replay value here. You can also try to get all of the gold trophies, and unlock all four characters. Though, I think the replay value would have been higher if there is multiplayer and the race tracks weren't so linear.
