It's nice but you should precise that a lot of these things are custom

NSMB's beta has always intrigued me. Always wondered what the game would've been like if it hadn't been so dramatically changed.

Nonetheless, good job as usual. Keep up the good work.

The 2004 E3 showcase is more of a tech demo than a beta, or even an alpha, for that matter.

The E3 2004 trailer video seems to show a different build, because the backgrounds and the castle tiles were different compared to the screenshots. I've included all stuff from both builds, and some customs in E3 2004 style.

I was actually referring more to the 2005 demo than the 2004 one.

The 2004 footage looked like garbage tbh (but it's just an extremely early build so I can't give it too much crap), but the 2005 one had some interesting ideas like having to force a Mega Mushroom out of its block by hitting it multiple times and ground-pounding into a Koopa's shell to get Shell Mario.

Awesome! Gotta love those SM64DS Mushrooms. Evidently, Super Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros. were built off of wither the same, or similar engines. Which might explain the shared minigames.

This looks a bit too dark and gloomy for a Mario game...which is probably why they changed it.
