General Commentary and Game Overview

I hold Super Mario Sunshine close to my heart, and I've seen a number of 2D tributes in my days on the internet. Not a new idea, but is the execution well done?

Pros	-Excellent graphics. -Versatility. -Nice sound quality.
Cons	-No changing controls.

Impressions

Gameplay 6 / 10	It's Mario. The physics feel slightly off to me. Is that just me? Mario feels a bit heavy as well. Maybe it's just the WASD control scheme, which I can't stand. The game doesn't feel right at all without the directional keys. I think it should be stated that Mario can do a lot here. It's pretty great how many moves Mario has, it really helps the experience and I feel like other Sunshine tributes lack that. This area would have a 9 if not for those controls. Fix them, please.
Graphics 10 / 10	Oh dear. This is a beautiful looking game. It just looks right. The effects are there. It's a unique style that I can't quite describe, and it fits Sunshine very well.
Sound 8 / 10	Good sound quality. The songs picked make sense. Not much to say.
Replay 7 / 10	10 Shine Sprites feels a bit lacking to me, but I do appreciate the bonus at the end.

Final Words

I feel like more people need to play this. Even if you hate those controls, I think it's a well made game in many other areas and worth a download.

Thanks for the mostly positive feedback! It seems like the controls will be my main focus before adding new stuf, the dream is to add controler support. The problem is that i dont have anything to test it with. Im really glad you liked the graphics and the move-set, I worked hard on it!
