General Commentary and Game Overview
I played it for a short time and it was just mindblowing-ly awesome! By the way, I love the new powerups and the ability to switch dimensions. I even beat the first boss, which was easy enough! (Lost my Laser-Jetpack powers during the process XD)

And yes, I did even played it while updating my Mario Land: Minigame Mayhem to the latest version and while browsing my Twitter. I bet this is a nice game to play if your internet goes down or you are very bored.

The Toad house minigame was really fun. Played it for the first time but I died. Nevertheless, it wasn't so hard at all!

Since you based it off the CatezeeY open-source engine (Drag Engine 7), I cannot say it is a clone, because you took it to the next level by adding the dimension switching gimmick, new enemies such as the Laser Goomba, there are purple coin stages, Polter stages...I'm. SO. IMPRESSED.

If you are looking for a game to play when your connection's done during a thunderstorm, Super Mario Bros. Dimensions is the game for you alongside with Mario Land: Minigame Mayhem and other great games I play.

Pros + This is a CatezeeY clone...NOT!!! You just took it to the next level, which I'm so impressed with.
+ The dimension switching gimmick was fun to use.
+ Card collections, which I can find by collecting Star Coins.
+ New enemies and powerups.
+ Completely 8bit! That's right, he placed it in complete 8bit!
+ He put the music in complete 8bit, from NSMB's castle track to the Super Mario Galaxy's Purple Comet music.
+ Unbelievably impressive cutscenes.

Cons - Piranha Plants act very funny, though. They sometimes glitch when they come out of pipes! O.o
- Certain tilesets may break the 3 color rule. The grass tileset uses green, brown, light brown, and black. But I think it's still okay, though.

Impressions
Gameplay
9 / 10
The gameplay is almost glitch-free, and I like the use of the dimension switching gimmick, as you can reveal secrets that you cannot normally find. Bonus areas look cleverly hidden behind tilesets, too! (which is a big plus) The Toad House minigame looks great too, however on my first try I died. (Collected coins only, but it wasn't that hard, though! :D)

One problem I noticed while doing 1-4: I saw glitchy Piranha Plants in the alternate dimension, they seem to teleport instantly out of the pipe, then they go down smoothly.

By the way, I like the unique-ness of enemies, such as Laser Goombas which shoot lasers. And the bosses, too: they are very fun. (Robo-Bowser was one of my favorites) However, I didn't get to play against other bosses, though.

This gives you a 9/10.

Graphics
8 / 10
The graphics are close to 8bit, but some of the tiles are breaking the 3 color rule. (Such as the grass tileset, it uses 4 colors O_o) The backgrounds may look slightly empty though, but they have more detail than what I can explain.

An 8/10 for you, LangtonLion64.

Sound
10 / 10
The sounds are very nice. Especially the Star Coin, it reminded me of Mario and Luigi: Dream Team (it had the same sound as when a freed Pi'illo teleports back from the Dream World). The music looks pumped up to the 8bit style: You did a perfect job at converting modern Mario music (such as NSMB and Super Mario Galaxy) to 8bit.

I rated this 10/10, because I'm impressed with the audio. (It reminded me of the year 2020!)

Replay
10 / 10
Replay? I'm sorry Langton, but I will definitely play this again when I have time to do so! After you complete the game, you must do Hard Mode, find some star coins, and collect some cards! (and beat the time, too).

10/10 for the Replay section.

Final Words
9 / 10
LangtonLion64 puts his talent to the next level as he does a Drag Engine 7-based game with excellent graphics, sound, and design. Great job! Keep going until you succeed!

Megamanning.

Oh, right. Megaman goes beyond the NES' color limitations. However, such a rule is not seen in any NES Mario games.

The 8-bit version of the NSMB castle music in the fangame itself sounds like you're exploring a futuristic Bowser's Castle resembling Neo Bowser City. Weird for me, huh?

I'd just like to point out some enemies in SMB3 like the Koopa Troopas use 4 colors. Actually, they are composed of two tiles - one for the head, and one for the body. Still that doesn't change the fact that the tilesets are "megamanning" or using four colors in one tile.
