General Commentary and Game Overview
When you saw this game, you thought it would be a fencing clone. But it's not, instead you use the swords as an attack. This is a neat idea, but is the rest of the neat? Let's review, shall we?

Pros +Nice idea
+Two different playable characters
+Follows the Game Boy's color rule

Cons -Trial and error
-Graphics could have been done better
-Lack of checkpoints
-A weird bug (see Gameplay for more detail)

Gameplay
5 / 10
It works like the platform Mario games, but with health and a different attack. Instead of jumping on enemies as an attack, but you use a sword. This is an interesting idea, but it's unfair for people that are familiar with the Mario games, because they would think that they can jump on spikeless enemies without any damage, until they find out that they lost a heart.

There is even more enemies, like the Goombas for example. They don't get knocked back, which is something that the game didn't warn. I'm sure if this is because Roo thinks we already know how to play the game, but that's not true. One problem that I found unfair, is that you can never restore your health, even in-between levels.

When you get an game over, you have to quit because trying to play again will result in another game over. This can be a little annoying, because the Escape key doesn't quit the game for you.

Graphics
3 / 10
I liked that you did custom graphics, and they don't even clash at all. But, they could have been done better. Just where is Mario and Luigi's eyes and arms? Their nose even wiggles a little for some reason, and I noticed the swords have no hilts. Unless, maybe the swords are their arms?

Anyway, about the enemies. They are okay, but like Mario & Luigi, where's their arms and eyes? Okay, the black figure (are those even the Shy Guys? Because the manual said the Shy Guys don't do anything) and the Goomba have eyes, but they still don't help it. I guess Roo will need to improve his spiriting.

Before I focus on the sound, I want to say that the first two backgrounds looked lazy and as if they were made by MS Paint's spray can tool.

Sound
6 / 10
There is no music, meaning that the game can be a little boring. And it feels a little scary with that.

At the topic of sound effects, they sound okay. But I felt the black figure's damaged and death sound doesn't feel that Game Boy-e.

Replay
1 / 10
The game lacks checkpoints and that boss is a little too challenging, so I don't think I'll want to play this ever again.

Final Words
4 / 10
For those that are expecting this to be a Fencing game, don't play this.
