General Commentary and Game Overview
Bruh
 
Pros + The lighting effects aren't really that bad in this game
+ Finally, a different tileset
+ I like the whole permanent powerup concept
+ It has an... interesting story
+ It's possible to have fun with it if you really REALLY try
 
Cons - Bad at teaching you core mechanics
- The level design is very frustrating
- Still the same SMB3 Mario!!!!
- More health would be much better

This game is hard. Really hard. And you know what? That's fine! I'm not going to bash this game just because it's hard, instead I'm going to bash it because it's hard in a bad way.

This game has barely any difficulty curve. The game starts hard stays that way. And it's hard in a borderline unfair way. Like for an example at the start of the game the game expects you to be very good at wall jumping without teaching you anything. wtf

Also, dying makes you return all the way back to the world map, and you will die a LOT. It would be really nice if the game just respawned you at the last checkpoint instantly because otherwise the game's just wasting your time and making deaths feel more dreadful than they should.

The level design also sometimes gets really confusing which really doesn't really help.

Well, on the bright side though I like how some levels start you with a powerup. You keep them through the level, and the level design actually makes use of the powerup's abilities, which is a really cool concept. I liked some other little touches too. When Mario talks to a toad, Mario alway replies with his quotes from SMA4 (aka the voices from Hello Engine), such as "Hoo hoo! Just what I needed!", "Okie dokie!" and "Oh! Mama Mia!". It's almost as if Hello is self aware.

As for the physics, it's Hello what did you expect?

Lighting effects + dark atmosphere + Shikaternia's tileset = A neat combination

Those lighting effects don't really look that good in fangames usually but I kinda like how they are used here.

Typical Hello sounds with some metal (?) music that doesn't sound half bad.

Another slightly above average Hello game, this time with 10 times more frustration!
