I'd love to hear your feedback as the last game I made was Mario Jump & Go! What do you think, guys?

This game is fine, but i just don't understand what's the purpose of remaking a G&W game.

This isn't a Mario game.

Did I succeed in making this as authentic as possible to the original?

Well yes, even the horrible sounds, but why would you make a G&W game?

Because unlike most of you, I was around during that era and I wanted to create a faithful recreation of the games back then.

No, it is not.

It literally says in the description that it is.

The description of this fan-remake of a non-Mario related game?
How about the description of the original game this is based on?
Nowhere online does it say that this character is Mario. It's just identified as a man or character with no name.

The only reason a connection was made at all is because this game just so happened to be in Game & Watch Gallery 2, whose MODERN remix in the cartridge contains Mario in place of the unidentified man.

Yeah, thanks for ignoring more than half of my comment as a half-a'd attempt at making me look stupid. AGAIN, I'm talking about Helmet itself, not this fan-remake that somehow got passed off as a Mario-related game on this site.

I really don't know how you don't realize the uploader of this game just slapped "Mario" on the unnamed character and passed it off as a Mario fangame. I could do that right now with Oil Panic, Climber, Octopus, etc. Because you know. They TOTALLY feature Mario because I just said so!

In light of previous arguments noted, I would like to note that Mr. Game & Watch is a generic character who uses a number of different identities.
Mario and Luigi being among these.

I'm pretty sure in Mario Bros's case they were meant to be...the Mario Bros. Just looking like that on the Game & Watch to make it easy to draw them on there or something.

Such is part of what Mr. Game & Watch what he is today.

As I noted (And you just confirmed, I should add) He is a generic figure.
He was created specifically for the Game & Watch LCDs as the playable character.

In the Game and Watch adaption of "Donkey Kong" he is actually called Mario in the instruction manual, yet the LCD uses a variant on Mr. Game & Watch that looks very similar to the one used in the game that was submitted here.

He is around the middle of of the lower screen.

I would also highly advise that you do some research into this matter, you may learn a thing or two.

Donkey Kong, of course, would feature Mario. But as long as Helmet doesn't refer to the character as Mario, why would I believe that it is? Whether or not Mr. Game & Watch takes the form of a character has nothing to do with his...character. It's just the matter of technical easing on Nintendo's part. It wasn't like they ever specifically or purposely tried making Mr. Game & Watch a shapeshifter. They never even thought about him as a character until they decided to represent the G&W lineup in Smash Bros. Melee.

Woah! A lot of controversy over this. Sorry if I upset anyone. Won't be doing another Game & Watch game again.

It's not a matter of whether or not you should do another Game & Watch game. It's the fact that you managed to get this to slide on a fangame site dedicated to Mario. If anything, you should try and improve on the choice of game and if there's anything extra that could be added.

For example, you could remake the Game & Watch version of Super Mario Bros, and make the game end at a certain point, or go as far as making online leaderboards. There are also the Donkey Kong Game & Watch games, Mario Bros., Mario's Cement Factory, Mario's Bombs Away, etc. If you really want, keep at it, but please stick with games that actually have Mario in them if you're going to upload them to this site.

This is not your call to make.
The site staff, including myself, are well aware of the content of this game.

This submission has made me smile big one handful of times in front of the screen. Rare! Edit: So I played and the workers in the lunch room (?) they kept closing the door when I was getting close. All a trap.
