SMM-Styled Beach Tileset By: Nuggeting [W]
This is a little tileset I whipped up for a Beach theme in the SMB1 mode of Super Mario Maker, based on the beach levels from New Super Mario Bros. Wii/2 (hence the beach colour and wooden platform).

Use these if you want, no permission needed. Just be sure to give credit.

no it doesnt ^

Anyways, these aren't bad, but I think the grass could use some work. It looks a bit sloppy to me. The other parts look good though :)

Um... Yeah I'm sorry but these don't follow the NES pallete. If you want to make SMM styled tile sets thats good but at least
those followed the NES palette, and these dont.
I'll give you the following link to an example:<a href="http://drag.wootest.net/misc/nespalette.png">;http://drag.wootest.net/misc/nespalette.png
Also the grassy platforms use more than three colors just sayin.

He's saying the level tilesets follow the NES color palette, not the costumes.

The regular SMB1 sprites in SMM don't follow the original game's palette. They follow the three color rule, but not the palette. Here's a comparison:

oh no not looneytunerian

but anyways the extra nsmbwii athletic ground or whatever it is needs work. remove the outline and change the dirt's color. the sceneries need work as well, but all you need to do is remove the outlines on them

A user with odd letters acting like LooneyTunerIan. Say what now? O.o
Anyways, for those who wanna use the original palette (in the SMB game, not Super Mario Maker), there's a palette available everywhere. Use that to your advantage. For the sake of this sheet, I say it's NICE WORK!

He's not a looneytunerian when someone thinks of SMM they think of the SMB, SMB3 and SMW styles... If the creator just said Super Mario Bros styled then he'd be a looneytunerian.

Well, it doesn't really matter now because he's banned.

Except the NES has no consistent palette to speak of.
Anyway, the black outline on the background objects look really jarring and out of place, since none of the tiles use black at all. And the palm-tree background piece feels unnecessarily small.

Here's the thing. There's two palettes for the NES that people can't agree on; the darker and muted one or the brighter FCEUX-based one. I'm personally not sure why people would vouch for the former when games like Mario Maker favor the latter, though.

Oh, I see. So you're basically talking about artificial palettes rather than the authentic palette programmed into the NES, right? If so, that makes more sense.

Obviously, this sheet is made for Super Mario Maker, and it's in SMB style. And when he is asking for SMB3 and SMW styled versions, (and more tilesets and more enemies), I detect a LooneyTunerIan there. Anyway, I was able to report the matter to VinnyVideo, who was able to point out garbled username dupes by Ian.

Now, back on topic!
