General Commentary and Game Overview
This is a game where Mario fights Luigi for no discernable reason. That's about it. You're given 9 locations to duke it out, but the excessively simple premise is the same. You might have played other fan games with this exact premise.

Now don't get me wrong. You might still enjoy this game, if only for a little while, but I would highly recommend you look for something better.

Pros + Custom graphics

Cons - Custom graphics that aren't very good
- Too much music, inflating the file size
- Shallow gameplay
- Mario fights Luigi for absolutely no reason
- No unlockables
- No single-player mode
- Forced full screen mode

Impressions
Gameplay
4 / 10
So Mario and Luigi are beating the crap out of each other for no reason. No, seriously. They gone violent towards each other, and the game doesn't even tell us why. Aren't there other games with these two characters fighting and a lack of plot?

The movesets of both characters are really sparse. You're told you can use the arrow keys, one button for jumping, and two for attacks. The game fails to elaborate on any key combinations whatsoever, so I have to assume there are few to none.

This being Mario vs. Luigi, there seems to be no additional characters. Why is there even a character select screen when player 1 is always Mario and player 2 is always Luigi?

Speaking of that screen, you'd think to click on the plumber you want. Nope, that doesn't work. You press SPACE to go to the level select screen, but the game doesn't tell you that.

Graphics
5 / 10
All the graphics in this game are hand-drawn (with the exception of a fireball effect on the title screen), ranging in quality from "alright" to "looks like a 5 year old did it". But hey, at least it's custom, right?

Sound
5 / 10
The game mixes a couple of MIDIs with MP3s, which doesn't usually work out too well. This game has a lot of music despite its simple premise, some of which is used where it doesn't fit. Even MKF has more sensible use of music given its size. The overabundance and misuse of music is what largely affects my score here.

Sounds are pretty OK and do what they are supposed to.

Replay
1 / 10
Didn't find any. There doesn't seem to be any unlockables or other motivation to play this game again, so I can't really give a remotely good score here. There isn't really anything tangible here to keep me playing it instead of a fighting game that is of real quality.

Final Words
4 / 10
There really is no reason to play this instead of Super Smash Bros... unless it's for the charm or something.
