Impressions
Gameplay
7 / 10
Basically, you just move right automatically, and it's your job to shoot and jump at the right times. It's pretty easy to pick up and play.

Your life meter lasts just long enough that the game provides a challenge but isn't too difficult.

The Super Scope powerup lets you aim with the mouse instead of just firing in one of three directions, which is really helpful...but it's difficult to control. One hand has to be on the mouse, and then the other hand has to be on Shift and Ctrl...but you also need to slow down and speed up, so it becomes extremely awkward to do.

The final boss is surprisingly difficult for such a short and simple game, and honestly almost feels out of place among everything else.

The Super Scope also has a glitch:if you try to fire without any bullets, the game encounters an error. This needs to be fixed.

Overall, the gameplay is pretty decent, with a few noticeable flaws.

Graphics
6 / 10
It's mostly just Mario 2 SMAS graphics, with a few edits in-between. As far as I could tell, nothing clashed severely enough for me to notice.

Sound
8 / 10
Although the background music is just a selection of .midis, it's surprisingly pleasant to listen to.

The sound effects are basically just rips from the official Mario games...except for the gun, which makes a weird clicking noise when it fires. Huh?

Replay
4 / 10
Although there is a high-score board, I didn't really care enough about this game to replay it. It's fun for a quick little 10 to 15 minute game if you're bored, but you'll quickly go back to being bored again.

Final Words
6 / 10
Although it's good for a short minigame with such little development time, it'll get old pretty quickly.

Thanks for the review! That's basically what the game was supposed to be - a minigame you could pick up and play, without too much length or depth.

The gun is based on the NES Zapper, and the sound that plays when it fires is the sound of an actual Zapper.
