General Commentary and Game Overview
It's a token Mario platformer starring the far too long neglected Waluigi. And if there were any reason why there shouldn't be a Year of Waluigi, it would be Waluigi Land.

Clearly Mr. Ultramario made no effort to release a complete and flawless (or at least less flawed) game, and simply uploaded this to clear space on his computer.

Pros -Waluigi. Can't get enough of that.
-Hammer power-up RAPES EVERYTHING.
-

Cons -Severe lack of polish.
-Severe lack of originality.
-Severe lack of fun.

Gameplay

And the award for making an engine somehow even slipperier than Hello's goes to...!!

My God, is the simple action of jumping from one spot to another difficult.

The gameplay is... run and jump and stomp things and break blocks. Haven't seen that before.

Your power-up is a Hammer that turns you into Super Waluigi, and for some reason in your first powered-up form, Waluigi instantly has a new attack in the form of a hammer he can swing. If you hold down the button, you can hold the hammer high and bring it down when you let go, allowing you to time your hits (the hammer always seem to swing too fast anyway). If you hold the button longer, you can perform a swing that hits all blocks and enemies in the vicinity, which makes it kind of overpowered considering this is the equivalent of Mario's Super Mushroom.

There are some neat-sounding weapons (supposedly; I didn't bother getting that far because I gave up trying to control Waluigi) and things that try to set the game apart from your traditional Mario, but ultimately these items are worth nothing but another way to break through brick walls and another way to take out the Army of Endless Mildes. Did I mention the only enemies in the game are Marching Mildes that slowly walk to the left? Imagine a Mario game that faces you off against nothing but Goombas. And controls like ass.

Oh, and don't get me started on the glitches. My God, the glitches. Running straight through pipes and getting stuck inside. Clearly landing on a Milde's head and the game still kills you because bugger us all.

Bottom line: All gimmick and no substance makes Jack dull @#$%.

Graphics

The game uses both 16x6 and 32x32 tilesets. Together, they look odd. The pipes, for example, are 1 pixel thick, and shoved into ground tiles 2 px thick. Oh, and the pipes are edited 0%, meaning you see a flat cutoff at the bottom of the pipe. This is simple error of perspective.

Oh, and I love when the giant ? and Brick Blocks are placed too low for Small Waluigi to simply walk under, allowing the Marching Mildes to kill me because there are invisible blocks above the pit I had to jump into to continue. Cuzyouknowyeathasrealfair.

Doesn't look too bad overall, but definitely has room for improvement.

Sound
5 / 10
I honest to God didn't know there was music in this game til I was about halfway through Level 1. That should give you an idea of how effective it is.

The rest is a mix of ripped and custom Mario sounds from various official games, as is to be expected.

...Punctuated by the occasional "WAA!!"
