General Commentary and Game Overview

Right. Let's get knee deep in this son of a gun and try "Spoopy Maryo".

Right off the bat, this doesn't look great. But, I have an open mind. When I like to be open-minded.

Pros

- Vague form of something called "Atmosphere". I don't even know if the developer knows what that is.

Cons

- S***ty visuals. I mean, did the creator put any effort in?
- Music is just jarring. Combining old beeps (think Commodore 64/Atari) with modern "generic, stock" atmospheric music just doesn't work.
- The ending is just... there is none! It's over too quick! No euphemism intended. Scary ghost kills "Maryo" (is he Mario's like retarded brother or something?) with very Paint-esque blood. End. CUE CREDITS. Oh wait, there is none.
- Far too short a game. Far too short.

Impressions

Gameplay 1 / 10	Mash A until your fingers hurt! Yay! That's it. I shouldn't say more. Read the last point on "Cons" for the ending.
Graphics 2 / 10	Too basic for me. The blood at the end and the VERY 4-bit visuals (yes, 4 BIT) don't suit. It does look retro. It can have that.
Sound 2 / 10	It does create a very basic atmosphere. That's all.
Replay 1 / 10	It's the same thing. Nothing changes. No variation. I mean, I can't mash for any more than 30 seconds. The stupid ghost always gets me at the 30 second mark!

Final Words

Let me give you three good tips on what you should do if you ever have the misfortune to play this game:

1) Shut down your computer.
2) Remove the battery and hard drive from your computer.
3) Burn them in the fiery pits known as hell.

In all seriousness, this game (in fact, why am I calling it a 'game') isn't good. My 3 year-old brother could do better than this (using Scratch!). Oh wait, I don't have a brother! If this is a horror game, then, it failed. Except for the music. That's okay at making atmosphere. 2/10- being "generous".
