General Commentary and Game Overview
Luigi saw a ghost house, and decided to walk inside there (for no reason). He was locked up inside, and saw a Phanto swarm. The Phantos are trying to catch Luigi, because they thought he's a key (as they love keys, waaaay too much).

Before you enter the Phanto zone, let's review, shall we?

Gameplay
5 / 10
It's just another game with generic gameplay. You have to avoid all of those Phantos, which are moving towards you. I'm sure there is a lot games with this kind of gameplay. Anyway, touching a Phanto will cause a life to be lost. Losing all of your lives causes Luigi disappear, possibly transforming into a ghost. There is a variety of enemies (there's even non-Phanto enemies, perhaps they're relatives to them), all of which, seem to have different speeds. Besides the speeds, the different enemies don't have any differences with them. It'd nice though, like you could make one follow Luigi for a while.

The only unique thing I can find in the gameplay, is the powerups. The Star will temporarily transform you into a Phanto exterminator, as touching a Phanto (or enemy, should I say) at this state will destroy it (and you thought that Phantos are invincible). The Fire Flower surrounds you with fireballs, and those fireballs can burn the Phantos/enemies to ashes. The Mini Mushroom will shrink Luigi into the size of a fly, which makes it harder for those Phantos/enemies to catch you. The 1-up Mushroom makes you live longer, as you'll get an extra life.

Well, if you don't count the powerups, the gameplay is very generic and repetitive.

Graphics
6 / 10
It uses SMB2 graphics and a SMW background in-game, so it's not really anything special. However, Luigi seems to be scared and terrified, that he is able to fly. He probably even holds the record for fastest legs, even though, his legs don't seem to animate very fast.

I like that each enemy has their own sprite. There is Phantos, Red Phantos (they must have REALLY wanted a key, don't they), Tellies (is this a stage for Phanto Man?), So Very Happy (I wish this game is called "The SVH Zone"), and Spooko (yes, the Mushroom Kingdom and Planet Purpulis are having peace together).

A problem with the graphics, is that some of them clash. An example is the SSB4 Luigi heads.

Sound
9 / 10
The music is probably the best part of this game. The spooky music really fits, and it seems to go well with the NSMBW sounds. Though, the life lost sound seems to be a little TOO quiet.

Luigi will scream if loses all of his lives, and it sounds good, and it's not TOO scary. Luigi seems to be unconformable at the Phanto zone, as he makes a sound (I think it's "Noooooooo!") if you retry the game.

Replay
3 / 10
Due to the repetitive gameplay, it's not really addicting or anything. However, there is online highscores. But besides that, there is no point of playing the game again.

Final Words

Don't know what to do for Halloween? Play this.
